Thanks Hayden, for the reply.
I think you are quite correct in that view is shared by many.
A bit of Devils advocate here (ie its not necessarily my view),.
I'm not sure Traders do celebrate when the SP falls other than to say I told you so (if indeed they had). In any event I think it is always in very poor form to potentially make fun or light of others peoples (in this case) financial loss. Quite often because Traders are often the butt of others rude remarks, they respond in kind when they have the opportunity. Its a poor excuse in my book, but human frailty and social media being what it is, there seems a section of society where this is deemed "normal".
As I say there is reasonably wide spread belief that SP falls are down to traders. However Traders can't sell unless they bought first. So the rise in the SP in the first place is partly down to Traders. And as we all know, people sell all the time at different times for different reasons. Just today we had an explanation of why somebody sold. So to automatically blame traders is I think, a bit lazy. There could be other reasons, and they could easily be fundamental ones. ie the company is now overvalued, or the whisper that an order won't come through after all, etc etc. We simply don't know.
Manipulation is always possible on such a tiny market cap but its unlikely done by traders who frequent these BB's. People who post here don't trade with £100'000's. Wherever money is involved you get dishonest people. Anyone influenced by strangers on a BB should not frequent these BB's, as imo they do more harm than good. So, having said that I am sure some do TRY to influence falsely, the SP, by posting but as I say if the individual can be swayed by that type of post then best not be here. (Personally I don't think anything posted on any BB has any effect on the SP, or even if it did it would be very short lived, but as I say I think it highly, highly unlikely to move the dial at all.
At its best these BB's can be a sharing of ideas and experience so as to pique others interest to explore the ideas, independently, further.
As long as we always remember, we haven't a clue what's actually going on in these companies in the background at any given time and its just a crap shoot as to whether we get lucky or not.
