That's a fair rebuttal Ben, but given AS has missed every single timeline he stated its difficult for me to give any further benefit of the doubt to his projections. If it was going to take 12 months he should have said so and not claimed it would be "shortly" on all those occasions where he could have been frankly more honest.

Don't get me wrong I still have a ton of money in this so I want it to come good sooner rather than later but like most here I am holding for the cancer side of the business and anything now from the test is a bonus.

I trust TA so what goes on behind the scenes to move the SP is an area I have never bothered about too much, for no other reason, I can't do anything about it!

I know my posts go on a bit (which I know can be irritating), but I try to explain the rationale behind the conclusions I come to because on the face of it TA should not work.

Once the reader accepts that's it people who buy and sell and therefore peoples actions that move the SP, then the psychological aspect becomes apparent and obvious as a driver of SP movement.

It was instructive I thought that 2 posters very frankly described their emotional pull as to what to do, which is normal and typical which reinforces the potential for TA to help time entry and exit, to in turn maximise profit. Which, whatever system we use, is what we all want.

And thanks BOJO for your comment and I agree as its not every board that is this tolerant of TA.

Apre, I was not "flattering" myself. I used the Mologic RNS that caused the SP to spike as evidence that the market no longer trusts AS on timelines. It was Mologics confirmation that caused the rise in the SP.

I don't know if they have succeeded any more. I am not going down the need for testing route , but assuming the majority here are right and its critical and it great numbers, then why have we not a validation to sell in Europe or the US by now, why hasn't the UK authorised it for sale? What happened to the Mologic short cut? Any idea?

We have had 12 months to get this validated and approved in the greatest pandemic the world has ever known and this is the most accurate test that will resolve and help defeat the virus.

I get the UK are rubbish, I get even the EU could be as bad as the UK but the US as well? with all the connections AVCT have?

No one it seems, domestically and internationally, wants to rush our test out. Don't you think its a bit odd?

Mustang I think the damage to AS reputation is already done. The last big spike we had in the SP was on the back of a Mologic RNS basically confirming what AS had said previousdy. That was my proof that the market discounts what AS says and only reacts on 3rd paty acknowledgement or proof.

I know we can go round in circles about what coming days means but when it runs into weeks, then surely the phrase, in the coming weeks, would be more accurate.

No one believes anything AS says regarding timelines and further as I stated a long time ago, that doubt over his veracity on that issue will most likely seep into other pronouncements he makes.

Every time he has the opportunity to make the position clear (or clearer), he does not. Maybe he is under an NDA, who knows,? But clearly there have been so many undisclosed failures? (I am thinking of the amount of sites testing BAMS, that kept reducing with no explanation until BAMS now is anon starter, No explanation of what happened to the saliiva test, No explanation of what happened to the LSTM test/validation back late last summer. Smaller validation results than we were led to believe.

Its pretty obvious the wheels came off this (the test) at some stage and I am guessing everyone at AVCT has been busting their guts to get them back on. Whether or not they have succeeded is not yet apparent.

The only positive I see (in the short term), is how well the SP has held up, which suggests there is a decent chance really good news is about to break in the next few days.

I hope so, but I am getting my encouragement from the SP not the news flow from AS

This situation right now, generates tension between buyers and sellers:

It has broken a resistance (134p) and future buyers are wondering if it will fall back and let them get in cheaper. Sellers (as its sellers that force the price up) are reluctant to sell at this price, expecting further gains.

So its a stalemate, both sides waiting as to what will happen.

If it does increase (even by a penny) it puts more pressure on buyers to get in quickly as a lower entry starts to become more and more unlikely and then often the SP accelerates away. Likewise if it drops sellers are likely to fold and give in to the pressure of buyers at lower prices, thinking it could fall further.

So its a game of chicken, or who is going to blink first.

I find this actually exciting (with a small E), when these situations develop. Some would see it as a bit sad no doubt, and I don't think I could put up a robust counter argument!

Its a little early to say how important 134p is as a support, but its from a TA pov a good sign now of further advances with it being in the rear view mirror.

It may come back to test it in the short term (next day or 2 or today of course) but my expectation (and this is very personal), is that it will move far enough away before it gets into over bought territory again, that i134p won't be significant as a "big" support.

But as always, time will reveal all.

fwiw BB, I never too excited about buys (big or otherwise), because it just means someone sold to fulfil the order, so for that big buyer expecting the stock to rise, there was sellers who thinks this is the time to let go.....

your spelling and sentence construction, when looking back at your posting history again seems to contradict your stated profession. The choice of BB's you post on also suggest someone who invests quite a lot in stocks and industries they have little knowledge of (I am thinking of ARGO Blockchain where you admit to not knowing much about crpto's.), which just seems a bit incongruous for an investment banker with the experience you have had at advising past clients.

Epson, It really was just an observation based on the amount of recs it got.
Others (and sometimes including me but that's not what my post was about), get accused of , by sometimes questioning the rose tinted brigade, maybe upsetting novice investors, to sell their shares unnecessarily .

So although you refer to him as the "court jester" (which in itself shows how hearing what you want to hear is acceptable) what if his baseless ramping has made these same poor souls buy the shares? Thats ok is it?

Hi Zoom, welll I just noticed your response (a bit delayed, sorry).

If someone posted the groundless following, " AVCT are just about to announce their test has failed and it will be official today/tomorrow/next week" and regularly posted that about once a week, it would be reported as disruptive every time while at the same time triggering a vitriolic response from the regular "keepers of the Faith" here on this board.

Sujood says the opposite, but just as groundless ,and gets 25 recs.

If any here were in any doubt of the conformational bias that exits here then I guess that is it.
And for those that were not, well you know now.

this break above 21p has turned out to be quite the battle. But it looks like the bulls are winning.

Typically on a relative long struggle like this the wining side tends then to accelerate away.

The logic is pretty straight forward. The price (in this eg) gets to 21p, that triggers sellers who think its gone high enough, thinks its going to fall, want to bank profits, whatever. Buyers think anything around 21p is good value and buy.

Either the bulls wear themselves out or the bears do.

So at some stage, all the people who wanted to sell at 21p are exhausted and have sold their stock, in which case the buyers left over are now faced with no one left to sell at 21p and therefore the SP has to rise to higher levels to induce NEW sellers to accommodate the buyers still out there.

(and the reverse happens when all the people who wanted to buy are spent, leaving unfulfilled sellers having to lower their sell price to attract new buyers who did not want to pay 21p)

That's TA in a nutshell I guess.

Thanks Noeasy for the comments, I would just add though its not particularly about manipulation per se, TA is simply, through charts, graphically representing all peoples emotional pulls. You don't need to be "manipulated" to have the pulls of Fear & Greed" colour your decision making process. This stock is a great example.

Potentially great gains on offer may make some take bigger risks than they would perhaps normally take and any over commitment, if for any reason, things don't go quite as planned, can cause great emotional pain, leading to rash and sometimes poor decision making.
Whatever "system" people use to decide what to buy, we are all susceptible to one degree or another of our own emotions interfering with out rational side!
