RE: Thoughts on Ta1 Jun 2021 21:14
Scotty, when you said reversal of a trend re:TA I thought you meant stocks or indices. I did not know we were going to talk world events which FA, broadly did not predict either, so what's your point?
picking or spotting the reversal of a trend in a stock is tricky but the profit is the best, so (as i keep saying) money management is a fundamental part of TA and is key if you are using TA to try and make money on shares etc.
I have no mission in life about this (although I'm sure some, or indeed many here would take issue with me on this), but there is a lot to TA and a lot of criticism levelled at here (and on other boards, is often through a lack of understanding of how it works and what it is trying to do and it is when I read those types of posts that I try and explain it in a bit more depth.
Truly I could care less. if people are not interested in it, or don't want to know about it then don't read my or other posts on TA, but sometimes the level of misunderstanding is so great as I just can't let it go without explaining the rationale behind it.
The irony to me is that its hardly as though FA is that reliable either is it? Some Fund managers don't seem to be able to pick them. (You know, trained experts in all things value based) All the advice is pick a tracker because you can't tell who is going to make it and who is not in any particular segment.
But hey, TA, unreliable codswallop...No problem.
