Morning Ci,

A double top formation has formed at 3.5p and it would need to close and hold below 2.90 to "trigger" an expected fall of at least .6p indicating a fall to 2.3p or below.

Currently it has fallen back at 3.15p, a minor support which should it go up from here will (in hindsight) look like an "expected" retrace.

To continue the upward move and reversal from 2.9p, a hold and close above 3.5p is necessary.

Those are the 2 options as i see them.

From my pov, right now we are in the middle of 2.9p and 3.5p and therefore I look at the current SP as just "noise" with no particular significance.

max, buys and sells numbers are a pointless and unhelpful indicator. They are often incorrect, they are not all recorded or displayed at the time, and ultimately, for every sell there has to be a buy and vice versa so really, what help is it?

If in this case none of the above applies then it simply could be that MM's are holding little or no stock, hence the disproportionate move on low volume. (If this is the case then it will work exactly the other way around to should some buys come in.)

But of of all the things to look out for, this is the single, most pointless indicator known to investing.... (imo)

Although DM was not clear about whether drilling is halted until after the rainy season the RNS is, I think:

"Drilling of the shallow traps will be cheaper than testing deep targets and could potentially be conducted using a light-weight water-rig, or similar rig capable of producing a stable hole, possibly opening the option to conduct drilling operations over the wet-season."

So (and by all means correct me if I have got the wrong end of the stick here), A water rig will drill a shallow bore hole, which (presumably) if successful in stability would allow "the option to conduct drilling operations over the wet-season."

Its a bit if, what and maybe, but he did say to ZAk that he wanted to move along quickly. Maybe they will be a few more developments in the next 6- 8 weeks after all? Still suitably vague of course, but this is an exploration company after all, so I guess some slack is fair.

(Again and just fwiw, i didn't think the interview said anything new or productive which although i have raised this before is. Always pretty much ignore the interviews. Its universally an opportunity to promote the company, which may or may not have any passing familiarity with what is actually going on within said company.) IMO, RNS's are always harder to wriggle away from.

ND, I never mentioned TA. You did. I am not talking about TA, I was responding specifically to "researching " a company as though by that virtue you would gain an edge on the market. Its nothing to do with TA, but you cannot take the SP itself out of the equation.
I fully accept people should have some understanding of the company they are buying, go on to their website, read the last 2-3 years RNS's. The rest then becomes speculation and as I tried to highlight, many here believe somehow their research will uncover an over looked stock to profit from.

I would not and could not say that that approach has not ever been successful, but it is folly (imo) to believe that generally these BB's consistently offer any demonstrable help. This particular BB, being a classic case in point.

(i'm am not suggesting any of it is done in bad faith as that is not my point.)

The thing is, on an exploration company in particular, what good does it do to thoroughly understand the company?
This company could run out of money before it discovers helium and be bought out at a very low price. Or maybe It could raise money and dilute peoples holdings drastically, to carry on. Or its very next shallow drill might be successful enough to propel the shares forward?
Which one will it be?
There is no way of knowing (in fact) in any company from the comfort of our keyboards as to the success they may or may not enjoy in the future.

Many here seem to delude themselves that the research they can obtain via the WWW is somehow superior to what others can find just as easily and therefore gives them greater insight & knowledge that paid investment houses with much larger and sophisticated and available resource in giving advice to far far wealthier clients can.

The share price is not the company. DM can be the best man in the world, HE1, the best run company in the world and everything that can be done will be done... but if they don't find commercial Helium they go bust.

Never bet what you can't afford to comfortably lose.

f it breaks 140p then around 155p-160p would be a good target and it would suggest either there is substance to the rumour and or the short is closed
(none of this has to happen all in one day).

This after posting on the 17th that 102p was a good place to buy and it rising to 138p (that's 38% profit by the way.) But hey, God forbid anybody should actually try and make money out of this stock...

Ophidian, that was very interesting about all the research you do and the lengths you go to, but where has all the AVCT research got you in the last15 months?

Also given your charting prowess... I take it you trade AVCT?

Jk, so you will just ignore all the posts I make where I effectively say it can up or down, don't bet more than you can afford to lose, and when I say "imo", DYOR" I mean it.

This is a tough day for many but no one (incl you) has to come these BB's to either read, post or act on stranger's musings.

Don't waste your time blaming your misjudgement on others. Just learn from it. (imo, DYOR)

potential buy at 11p but be prepared to sell if it fell below 10.6p. That's looking to be a bit of support than it might break up from. A more positive sign that the fall has finished would be a break above 13p. (it tried a few times yesterday and did not do it, so if it succeeded that might bring in more buys.)
If it started to fall and I was not tempted by the 11p entry point then I could wait to see if anywhere between 8-8.5p came into view. That presently is the strongest support, but it didn't get tested yesterday during a very volatile day so at the moment that seems a long shot for it to go to."

Yesterday afternoon i said if 140p is broken then the mid 150's is the next target and if it does not break 140p then the the support below it, is 120p.

Others have joined in today also think 156p upper target is likely next.

Pete, the first rule of investing is only to bet what you can afford to lose.

It was your choice to buy into an extremely high risk exploration company.

I understand your frustration but I have said before that I think generally these BB's are of very limited value.

The more time you spend reading them the more it can mess with your mind.

I am simply giving a heads up that as the SP is very close to a resistance point, it is very much at a cross roads.

But yes Covid, you should learn this stuff because I told you at 102p it was a good place to buy. Doing this "it might go up, it might go down" stuff has allowed me to make decent profits over the whole of the last 15 months in AVCT , so ya boo sucks to you!

actually its a hold and close above 140p now.

we have had closes at 136p and fell back 137p and fell back and 140p and fell back.

141p would be much better than 138p (imo)

its starting to look a fairly classic chart move now as the time has passed. (Hopefully not famous last words.)

There is a low today on the intra-day chart (15m interval) at 12.35p (which is a support) it is showing a reversal pattern at that level involving the RSI as confirmation.
If it closes and holds at 13p or above that would be further confirmation the fall is complete, DYOR

Apolgies Marco, I only use the RSI and wait to stocks below 20 before accepting they are oversold.
