ND, TA is impervious to the reasons . (you may well be correct) but that's irrelevant when "forecasting" what's most likely next.

What happened is it fell to a support and rose to the resistance at 140p and then fell. its been for many traders, a chart-perfect move and thank you very much.

Will it repeat again? as I say I want to see a clear reversal pattern from the falls from 140p before commiting any further funds

GJ, I will use end of day close to make my judgement on whats most likely next, so I will be likely sitting on my hands today

Part of the appeal of TA is that being broadly a mechanical system, it takes a lot of the 2nd guessing out of the process.

There is a strong support line at 100p-105p and it has been tested many times over the months and held. When it bounced off it recently on its way to 140p it coincided with a reversal pattern suggesting the support would hold again.

Currently I can see that pattern forming again on the intraday chart but it will need to go over 111p for at least a 15min interval.

If the stock closes below 105p tonight (or maybe nearer to 101p to give it a bit of wiggle room in case the MM's are trying to take stops out), then I would expect further selling tomorrow.

Currently I sold in the mid 130's on the rise, but the fall back being almost the total of the gain, is not a great signal.

Therefore the balance I still have is remaining as the stop loss has not been triggered.

The SP action intraday can make me move quickly, I would say you start to get a "feel" for what is likely to happen but that's just another way of expressing experience.

So, most likely i will wait until I see the close tonight or I might, might buy some intraday if it consolidates above 111p

It would seem the solution to Covid is vaccination, treatment and testing, with the the first 2 doing almost all the heavy lifting.

Thus far the first batch of vaccines have surpassed expectation of the efficacy that is normally associated with new vaccines.

I would expect them to improve even further as knowledge of the virus grows.

The second absolute key attack is that should you become ill with the virus that there are effective treatments available to minimise the illness both in its severity and length of time the individual is afflicted by it.

If SNG get this right then boy oh boy....

(Testing too will have its part to play and certainly now, but as the first 2 areas of attack improve and become ever more widely available so the need for testing will diminish (although will always be necessary to some degree).

Bella, you make an interesting point. "If you make your decisions based on whispers on a BB then you only have yourself to blame if those whispers done on out. DYOR and look for facts...
I don't think anybody would disagree with that but then why does anyone post if its all to be ignored?
The "research" thus far over the last 15 months has only resulted in (to date) little or no SP progress.

"research" in the form of links attached of the source of the info has not proved particularly helpful. (Links will always be cherry picked to show what the poster wants others to see).

I would say perhaps its not so much DYOR, as better analysis of the research is the key.

A healthy skepticism of "news & research" might be more helpful but BB's are not the best place for that as the underlying bias is for it to be only "positive" views expressed, rather than objectivity.

Maybe, just maybe, BB's are not as helpful to making decisions leading to good outcomes, as many small Pi's think?

Neut, I have thought for some time (and posted) that one of the few remaining opportunities for AVCT LFT was for travel and that getting any sort of that pie should will make all the angst worthwhile.

Some tests will be chosen (I am guessing AVCT will not get it as a monopoly even assuming its one of them) price will play a big part I am sure, but it always comes back to the fundamental question: Will it be AVCT?

I agree wholeheartedly that the opportunity remains but I find it hard to make the leap of faith that it will be AVCT.

I will be as delighted as anyone if it turns out to be AVCT but so many opportunities seem to have been available and for reasons we may never discover, its not been AVCT yet , but fingers crossed.

Wonga, I remembered that too and if memory does serve, then I think the remark was in the context of the expectation/hope of emergency home use approval being granted and was along the lines of, if we (AVCT) have to apply for it in the normal way then it would take until the end of the year and by then it will be too late. (Year end did seem to imply December, well it did to me.)

HUA is likely now to be necessary for widespread travel and potential larger events if people are forced to take a LFT. Otherwise its not going to be particularly popular I don't think. I can't see many families just buying the test before popping out to the cinema or going for a drink or meal etc.

The key is either for AVCT to be the preferred test by govt(s)(currently unlikely) or the surplus of free tests both domestic and international needs to stop. I thought i read some weeks ago that end of Sept was the end of free testing here in the UK. If it continues on through the winter, then I don't see how AVCT "sell" their test against free ones.

On my thought process (as I have said before), the sales of our test seem to hinge on HUA allowing an airline to consider using them. I think its only when those 2 separate but interconnected strands come together, will we see meaningful sales. And if such a thing occurs then we are in the hands of Medusa as much as AVCT on both counts.

As this gets further away in time it now looks ever more likely that AVA600k results and updates will come before sales of the LFT and that's a sobering thought

Difficult to read the runes on this but fingers crossed there is some buying prior to the big day. I think there will be because if we are finding it a hard read, then so is everybody else, and the scope for a re-rate on "good" news is definitely there, which makes the risk reward attractive for many I would have thought.

Plus this is a good test for the LTB&H system. Time for it to deliver and show us poxy traders what we are missing (and I'm not kidding).

Phil, its a 50/50 chance of going through 175p (it either will or it wont), the trick is what are the odds of it going through and progressing further.

GJ, I can't see any evidence that they acted in "good faith". In fact when you see how the saliva test was side lined along with BAMS test and BBI being dropped as a manufacturer some time after they knew ,suggests they do the minimum in updating the general market.

As for bella's speculation, anything is possible but everything (to me) points to some problem in manufacturing test. ND previously highlighted the lack of a large trial and again at one stage AVCT I think, were promising one but so far it has been a relatively small numbers and the absolute minimum to get the validation approved.

So I think there has been a manufacturing problem as that would explain the delays and BBI dropping out, It explains why Calibre sales got off to a slow start, why there have been no large orders (including big business and govt's) and why to date, we have not been advised of the 30m per month Asian manufacturing partner, this might be wrapped up with TT issues? My hope is that this has been resolved now and the update will be positive and address these points particularly too, the commercial validation for sales globally which after UK & EU certification, AS said were so similar as to be something of a formality and would not take long, but that was months ago.

it looks like an assault on 175p but its going to get choppy I think because the RSI is close to over bought so some buying and selling will need to take place to unwind it enough for a gain to hold over 175p. (the alternative is a big spike to say 1805 plus and then a fall back a bit, but I think that is less likely.)

personally, I'm not sure patience wins the day on this one.

I have no idea what's going to happen but my take is, if the individual wants to buy in to HE1 but thinks they have plenty of time then its pretty much Russian Roulette. I am sure an RNS will fall soon (whenever that is) detailing the new plan. if it says nothing until next year the SP might drop back but that's not a given, imo. if it says drilling this year, then the SP might spike (10p?)

So its quite a gamble I think to hold off too long IF the individual does want to buy in. This is at the same price when the company simply announced they had an employed a drill company back in March

HE1 is more advanced than that now, so it does, in my book, put some sort of floor under the SP at 8p ish.

Obviously if t people are happy to buy in at potentially 10p plus (due to the spread) then by all means wait, but I am not sure that will be the best policy to get the best entry price.

(That's of course if we are going to refer to actual posts and actually what was said rather than made up stuff.)
