Thats why I am asking investy his reasons for such assertions.

Like my posts or not, I do answer people who question what i say with my reasons, and sure it does not mean many or any will agree with them but nevertheless I don't run away.

stxx for instance has not come back with any basis why EVE's T/O is related to the SP.

And this is the 2nd time I have asked Investy to be a bit more forthcoming otherwise these are simply ramps that may influence others who are just hearing what they want to hear?

invest, your posts always have a very positive tone and singular message that indicates you "know" something.

Is this based on some sort of facts or knowledge or just wishful thinking? (its pretty specific saying buying in the coming hours for instance),

As I say I only ask because you never provide any reasoning to these conclusions?

You believe it is over sold so what do you think it is worth based on turnover?

Vern, well yeah I guess I would have on the basis that after careful consideration i thought it was worth the bet.

To me thats logical. I think the stock will rise because of XYZ and post my reasons. What's the issue?

I do get that my quick buying and selling can seem somewhat flip flop to others but i am just trying to scalp 2-5% a week from my various positions. Eve is different because of the spread so I need (personally) more convincing reasoning that the increased risk of greater loss is worth the gamble.

(Most of my posts are responsive to other posts querying their ideas.)

Ping, these BB's (and its an observation) are naturally stuffed almost full of posters who are invested and therefore the vast majority are in fact to some degree or another, blinkered and do not want to hear a different view.

Take all my posts here out and what would you be left with? there would be hardly any but, but, but posts would there.

And I do agree that the recruitment might well be good news. but it might not. I for one would not buy the stock just on the back of that info. As you say you have a leg in both camps so it equals itself out at a non-event?

As DGU and others have found to their cost, that all the RNS's interviews and updates over the last couple of years have not got over the most glaringly obvious consistent fact of the business.

It has never run at a profit.

That's a red, red flag (for all stocks).

To me reading this BB over the years that that is a fact worth repeating.

My agenda, Pingu, is to highlight potential "assumptions" and to explore the reasoning behind them.

Once you have skin in the game its completely natural to want to hear corroborating views for emotional reassurance. Particularly if you are over-invested (my definition being more than you can comfortably afford to lose).

It becomes just as natural to not want to hear views that might suggest the initial reasoning for purchase was flawed.

But as I say, once the stock is bought it is very easy to just look at every bit of news as a potential positive and not even consider that there might be another (negative) explanation.

So to your last point. I don't know why they would be recruiting staff if they are going into administration.

But maybe they are just key replacement posts that in no event can be left vacant? Could they be spoofs to give the impression they are not going into admin? Perhaps it still looks grim but they think they can hang on to the end of the year and need these posts filled?

If it is positive why hasn't the SP rocketed?

Again this and many other BB's dismiss views they don't like for spurious reasons.

Because I never hold too much of any one stock I really don't care too much what happens. It leaves me open minded to the possibility i have made a mistake and to exit my position without incurring too much of a loss.

Finally if people raise negative points and I can reason them away then it makes me feel more likely that my bet will pay off. But if someone brings up a negative that I had not thought of, then fore warned is fore armed and all that.

So if thats the case I'm not sure it is "good news"?

DD, I don't think Fraud will fly if they are working with confidential info in the interests of the shareholders. (and if for the sake of argument, securing finance albeit behind closed doors keeps the company viable then it would be in the interest of shareholders that this happens without our direct knowledge?)

I have no idea whats going on but in my experience the SP normally tells the story fairly clearly.

The SP says likely no drill campaign this year and/or CR soon.

The current SP support I think comes from the hope that a CR has or is about to happen and it could be that a deal will be done around say, 7p but once announced causes a bounce in the SP to 9-10p?

Who knows, its all a crap shoot and expecting anything else is wishful think in tiny stocks like this. (jut my opinion)

Its like every stock holding. Never hold more than you can comfortably afford to lose and that way its difficult to get too excised about any injustice that is real or perceived.

Guys, this is all about a buy out I think... trading out of the financial position seems the least likely option imo.

The shares will get diluted in any event and there is always the worry they don't get away if its left to the open market. By doing it with big players behind the scenes at a negotiated price, the dilution happens anyway, but now its done and then we (pi's) can buy with more confidence that there will be sufficient funds for amore comprehensive drill program.

I was initially hoping HE1 would be able to discover first and then raise but time has moved on and while that may still happen, I think it less likely now.

I would not be surprised for the drill rig announcement to be joined with a cash raise that has already taken place.

So current Share holders get the dilution and the new investors get the discount.

I have a small holding here for any surprise move, but on the basis you are correct (and the longer time goes on, the more likely I think), I have funds ready to pick up the expectedly lower price.

Certainly the slow sell off of the SP supports your reasoning too. (imo, DYOR etc etc)

Kingrav, fwiw there was double bottom at around 1122p which was confirmed when the sp broke and held above 1170p

This suggests there will be rise to at least 1220p.

Those sorts of odds are typically found at the race track. And how much would you bet on a 10-1 shot?

It depends on what your aims are as to what stocks you decide to buy.

How much return do you realistically want/expect and over what timescale?

If you want to increase you holding by a factor of ten then it also relevant as to how long you expect that to take.

If you want it in say, 12 months then it will be a very high risk stock with much more likely chance of failure. If it is 20-30 years then you might look at new technologies that are likely to grow over time and then spread your money over the top 3 or 4 companies in that field so as to hopefully back the winner that eventually makes it.

Nothing is guaranteed but patience is key.

Buying into a perennial loss making business was always very high risk and the demise (thus far) of EVE was always more likely than not.

The one thing that should not be the case is any surprise at the way events have so far unfolded.

The trouble is gambling is very exciting and horribly addictive.

I have bough in at 174.7p to day as it might not quite make it and the few p difference is going to be a fraction of a percent.

First target 1255p so about 7%, 2nd target 1320p.

RAH, you brought up the topic of the SP and your incredulity of its, in you opinion, low number.

All I have done is politely offer a potential explanation for the general market view based on previous AVCT history as well as reaction to other companies in the sector.

Shutting your ears to replies that your own posts wish to generate suggests a bias that may ultimately affect your investment success.

The fact is, the SP is where it is. The question is why. You simply beating your chest as to the absurdity of the situation does not take you or anyone any further forward.

I don't think anyone here can fault your logic and reasoning on the progress, however it is not moving the dial on the SP any more.

When it was 40p the market was coming to terms with no LFT income it has now just about trebled from there on the potential so maybe we are at this stage simply over expectant?

And I think the LFT SP indicates what i was trying to get across about immediate gains on this stock.

The SP went to 275p on the basis of almost immediate expected income with i's being dotted and T's being crossed for large orders.

The market could pencil in or make a stab at, income/profits.

With the end of this phase of the trial one would expect it to go up but at the same time income is still aways off with another trial to undertake.

I am pretty sure the SP will be a slower and more gradual rise then the excitement we had around the LFT period (albeit with various spikes to keep many here on this BB excited.)
