Its always hard to be sure but this certainly has some "recession proof" qualities about it. Luxury brands that typically don't get affected by any financial downturn, the goods themselves that either hold or increase their value (particularly good in inflationary times) and have only scratched the surface for further growth opportunities.

This is meant to be an investment BB, but in fact its now just a few who want to spend time getting as many links (some quite tenuous) to regurgitate info that is already readily available and therefore in the past and actually not perhaps as helpful or useful as it would seem?

It has been attempted (and I am not bothering now so don't worry), but recently someone asked if all this was so obvious then why wasn't the SP higher. What a ****estorm that produced to a very fair and pertinent question.

my "valuable" research was to highlight before just about anyone else, that the LFT was unlikely to be a commercial success. And certainly in enough time for most to have banked profit had they agreed with my reasoning.

I did not need to post any link of others research but simply used my own thought process, that I bored every one with every time I was questioned about it.

That one piece would and has been more valuable financially than any other bit of research posted here. Remember this BB reaction to that?

Because, apart from the interest these links may have provided some here with, it has not been a driver of financial gain?

2 years ago the SP was 147p: 1 year ago it was 123p (when the current trail started.)

Today it is still below the placing price.

This is not a reflection of what may come to pass but it is simply laughable to pretend that the links posted here have been "valuable" when historically the opposite has been proved to be the case.

People buying in now around this SP level could do very well but only because the well known facts are is that the first part of the trial results should be made public before the end of the year.

As an investment BB, it is more important to know that timing is one, if not the key, factor to making money,

It is possible to question peoples idea's and motives and not simply call them names. And if that does not work, just filter them.

You think you are doing this BB a service but in fact you turn off any intelligent discussion that you either can't keep up with or have no interest in.

Its actually all about you.

And you still believe that this BB influences the SP... OMG....

and just perhaps to finish off: from a chart perspective.

On 3 separate days times the SP fell and closed at 7.4p, so the majority sold down to 7.4p before new buyers thought at that at that price (7.4p) it was good value and bought in.

During the 3 time event the SP rallied to 7.6p (having previously also topped at 7.6p before falling.)

However now it has closed yesterday at 7.95p.

From a chart perspective it is telling me that the sellers (at 7.6p) have been exhausted which is why the price has risen.

As a result the SP has 2 options, it can go up or down. Given the above explanation I think if it falls it "should" only fall to 7.6p as that was the last place sellers came in and the chart says they have all gone.

The other option is that it will rise and that it "should" go to 9p before sellers come back in in any real number.

So, given that I can't predict the future and that the SP always has 2 options I assign a most likely move to what might happen next.

I think it will, on balance go up and will look to around 9p before re-examining my position. If I am wrong then I will sell if it falls below 7.5p

I think the key point is that using FA as a basis of buying (or selling) the individual usually does not wait until the news is released but actually gets in sooner so as to get the most gain.... and that's when in fact you are in, for want of a better expression, "my world"

I assume (and correct me if I am wrong), but you take an interest in the SP and use it as an aid to look at the current market value of the company and then to look forward and make assumptions of what might happen to the company to see if you think the SP will rise?

If enough people using that macro company/fundamental approach come to the same conclusion, then the majority will buy and the SP will rise:

If, on the other hand, the fundamentals change and you decide to sell and again the majority agree with your analysis, the SP will fall.

I (using charts) get to see the same movement and can make an informed guess as to what is likely next, not based on the fundamentals, but simply what the majority keep doing. (Crowds being very predictable with a lot of science backing that up by the way).

Now, you can say that that "informed guess" is just voodoo, but if you remove the rhetoric, then your assumptions of what in this example is HE1, is based on your guess of what will happen in the future.

In other words you are saying your guess is better than my guess. We are both trying to predict the future but using different methods that are in fact very closely interlinked and entwined.

(I get a lot of the jargon in charting is laughable but then the same could be said on FA analysis too if someone is not familiar with it.)

Anyway, I am just shooting the breeze here, and as I said, its just a conversation.

How long will the storm last? What adjustments are left to make? How will sales be increased in the current climate? How do you collaborate with your competitors?

The only rule is... NEVER bet more that you can COMFORTABLY afford to lose. Do that and all the frustration melts away.

I think and forgive me if this sounds a bit patronising, but only based on your newness to this game, You (me, whoever,) are not shareholders in the company's they buy into.

Yes, I know on paper we are, but we are not in any form of reality. We have no influence and the company has no interest in us either.

Larger institutional shareholders are a different kettle of fish, but never kid yourself you are anything to do with the company of the shares you own.

All we are, are parasites hoping to cash in on the hard work of the employee's of the said company.

Its been that way since they put the company up for sale.

Their performance right now is I think, irrelevant to a potential buyer.

(to me its pointless, the info is already out there and the only relevant bits will be when AVCT report the results.) So, (to me, imo), its makes no odds, the trial will still reveal the results when it reveals the results.

What has ruined this BB, is the very few in fact, that simply get off on being insulting to others even if they have to invent reasons that are downright lies to do so.

As I said and as well we all can, either filter or ignore, thats it. The name calling is stupid and juvenile and I guess at its darkest when you get into deliberately trying to shut people up, then cancel culture/censorship of a view for the sake that it does not chime with your own is getting a bit more serious in my book.

bilt, I am consistent. I buy and sell frequently when I think the SP will move to my expectation.

The SP is not the same as the company. Nothing about the company itself changes until the results are released. in the meantime the SP can gyrate all over the place and there is potential to make money from that. So, If I think the SP is likely to go up I will say, and likewise If I think it will fall. That to me is not inconsistent.

I simply don't understand how still people cannot distance themselves from the SP and the company but hey ho.

Plus and not for nothing (given PL still deliberately lies about me, but only for his amusement, conceited prick that he is,) When is the last time I posted anything even by this BB's skewed rose tinted glasses that was "negative" about AVCT?

I have been buying for months now (with a bit of top slicing just to make a few bucks), and have only ever, ever stated that the cancer therapy is why I stay.

It was only my view that LFT was a bust and that I could see a cash raise coming sooner than later that caused all the vitriol that stays to this day . On the cash raise I have been wrong, on the LFT I , as it turned out was right, and backed MY reasoning with MY money and have done ok. (Actually quite a lot better than just ok).

You know, making money out of buying and selling stocks.

Given I think most on this BB manage their own portfolios of varying sizes and therefore probably "trade" a bit more then they care to admit., I don't quite see what crime it is to post about that on an investment BB.

it is simply impossible here to have a conversation about various scenarios because of the personalities who if you ignore the barbs and rudeness, show that the underlying view and need is to shutdown any other view.

The points ophidian raises today are shouted down with pointless previous references to posts that he made of over a year ago. (I am happy to admit I find his tone difficult at times and also have not agreed with all his analysis, however if I felt that strongly about it I would simply filter or ignore. Why do you think these other few never do that?)

If you were not already shareholder, would you have been a buyer now?

or to put it another way, if someone told you about EVE now and you had never heard of them and they recommended you bought now, would you after DD, be a buyer in their current situation?
