DGU, I know it wasn't popular at the time but how many times have I said you cannot trust anything any BoD say in any company?

Its through my own painful experience back in the day on NXT (audio speakers).

I dare say now, you will be equally skeptical going forward with other companies you invest in, but expect the same reaction from those shareholders as was met here.

It turns out experience is a much harder thing to pass along then you would think.... (ask any parent.....)

Vern, let me bounce that back to you: where have you ever seen they have made profits in the uk? I know they said could have done..

And I agree 1p might be a steal, but that pre supposes as I said way back when, that somebody either wants to own EVE (or maybe would prefer that market share they have to their own product at no cost at all), or, believes they would get a better price if EVE was in admin?

If the £900k OD has been sent which seems a bit opaque at the moment then there are very little assets at all other, than a brand name and its not exactly Coco Cola is it?

Then the administrators will take what they can get and the bank loses some, the suppliers lose all and so do shareholders.

7Vvern you say a margin of 50% but they are discounting by 30- 50% and again I can only tell you what I have been told by someone at an MD level in the same business that internet marketing is crippingly expensive.

I think straight line extrapolation is unfortunately too simplistic.

My view fwiw, that overseas expansion at the time was the last throw of the dice. Do it then while funds allowed and hope it paid off or miss the chance completely with continued losses in the UK (albeit at a slower rate perhaps).

greg, I don't know why you feel the need to be personally spiteful to strangers, however, looking very quickly at the BB's you post on, every single one of those shares has been a disaster over the last 12 months. You don't seem to be very good at this unless of course you don't own them and just look to be unpleasent to others who may be sitting on a loss?

Hi D, I think in situations like this "stock" does not have the same value as actual cash.

The other key takeway for me was the acceleration of declining sales.

It was 15% but is now 17% which means the extra 2% has been averaged over a longer time frame meaning the fall is greater than 2% per month over the 6-8 weeks . (plus there was originally talk of better sales in May), so all in all, I think cash is burning very quickly and its difficult to judge how much time there is left.

This is why I sold this morning. Just as possible today as last week that a takeover will come, but I think the time to potential insolvency is too tight for me to risk any more time effort and money.

How do you read this bit of the RNS: "As at the end of June, eve's cash position stood at £1.5m, in addition the Company had drawn working capital facilities of £0.9m"

Do you read that ats£1.5m PLUS £900k or the £1.5m INCLUDES the £900k

(Does the word "had" suggests it has already been used?)

Whats changed today is the acceleration of cash burn.

Its £1m per month. do the maths.

Its back to square 1: buy out or new money. EVE Trading its way out is not an option.

DGU, I never know from one day to the next what I will or won't trade, or when or indeed by how much.

It becomes instinctive after a while. (obviously not all trades work out but now, If it meets the criteria I don't hesitate.

Selling used to be harder (and still is to a degree), but experience has taught me to take profits when they are there. Sometimes it can happen very quickly and there is an emotional pull to hang on for more and also if I have made that much in only 1 hour how much more will I make over the next few weeks! (but it does not work like that, as we all know.)

I don't day trade stocks like this but its had numerous attempts to go above 836p today, might well lurch up if it (ever) breaks through :0))

Carrie, why do you think the placing got away at 80p then?

FTM, if you are correct in your analysis then I would expect a takeover to arrive. Clearly its de-risked, so now its about valuing the IP.

Given the history of the SP and now with the culmination that the tech works, it looks (to me) that there is a floor in the SP. An SP doubling from here looks achievable, i think (DYOR etc)

Well thanks DGU, but I don't expect it to last long but who knows....(I was just rebalancing a few stocks yesterday and today and found some mad money.....)

Hi Vern, Thanks for the update. But i'm ahead of you. The chart looks ok ish so I have become one of the emotionally wrecked PI's that i so love to point a finger at....

well, I only got 30% off when we bought the mattress, so I have paid a couple of £hundred more....damm....
