This (in theory....), removes the necessity of a dilutive RI.

Able to buy ay 8.9p this morning so as its a tighter buy price I have added a few more today.

It seems improbable now that there will be no Q3 drill, so good news should not be too far away.

It will be interesting to see if the SP moves prior to an official announcement.

810p is a minor resistance point. so it might come back to retest it and then the next target, assuming it carries on up, is 900p-905p.

On a more fundamental note: forward projections suggest strong cashflow and no debt with a healthy bank balance which in turn should mean div's.

So support level holding after being tested multiple times, confirming RSI, and now into recent highs from the last few days of sideway/falls.

,thats the theory DD, but lots of aim stocks are simply high risk whatever timeframe you are working to, retail or professional..

I find TA has helped me time my entry having decided I want to buy it the first place that I was prepared to give some time to.

Having said all that I would never go out to day trade a small stock but if I got lucky and netted a 20% rise then i would take it during the session.

Its just gambling whichever way you cut it.

How would it affect HE1? Would not labour be cheaper, would not plant become cheaper?

trading using charts is a mechanical process that "should" divorce itself from actual news.

The basis of it is that the SP is not representative of the actual company itself and therefore any fundamental analysis is redundant.

It uses charts as a graphical representation of crowd psychology.

So when you enter a trade, you should have 1 (or 2) targets you expect it to go to and a stop loss price that you would liquidate the trade if hit.

You should have a risk/reward ratio in place before you enter the trade.

(stocks generally are considered too small to trade consistently as they can be too easily manipulated by big trading houses. Indices therefore are "better" as they also have much smaller spreads and allow smaller moves to be profitable.)

But as we are here on the HE1 BB:
HE1 recently had a support at 8.4p but now it is 7.9p.
If you buy today at 8.4p,7.7p would be a reasonable stop. The first target would be 9p with 10.8p as target no.2.

Currently the risk reward between the buy price the stop and the first target makes too high a risk against potential reward. However, various indicators are overlayered onto the SP chart to try and clarify the sense of direction.

The RSI pattern suggests that a reversal is underway and 7.9p is the low. This would give the trader more confidence to take the trade. (Picking reversals is the hardest bit of TA)

Getting in now rather than (allowing for the spread ) at 9.2p if 9p is broken, may start to seem more attractive or less risky.

So a higher risk but a greater potential reward.

In cases like this (seeing a potential) I put in half of what I would normally trade and then if it goes well put the other half in at the 9.2p level.

If I am stopped out on this higher risk trade then I only lose half my "original" stake.

Money management is key in this mechanical process. DYOR etc etc

I use to DD, but Day trading was too tough for me full time. (You learn a lot about your character though.) After 3 years I quit.

Now I just use TA to time entry and exit on stocks, with no facility to short, keep it very simple and am having pretty good success thus far.

The "danger" I found for me was trying to be too quick. Trying to make too many trades to make money as fast as possible. More patience and taking smaller profits is both easier and less stressful. (Stress is just over emotional reaction to events which is most traders downfall.)

So I learnt a lot through it, and now being more relaxed and not "needing" to succeed has increased my success rate.

But its a very personal thing that each individual has to be pretty brutal with their assessment of their own characteristics to see if they can adapt to the discipline need to be in with at least a chance of making ago of it.

If the sales improvement mentioned in the RNS from May, halting the previous 4 month decline has continued, then by the end of July, would be 3 months or a 1/4 and therefore significant I think?

If no update by say mid August, then I would presume sales are still pretty rocky.

Difficult to judge what EVE "have" to say about the rest of it, ie potential sale or further investment.

I think it just is as it is. You hold buy or sell on whatever you think is most likely and pretty much stay with it to see how it pans out.

I never did SB. I got to use Margin when I was day-trading bond futures . But I religiously closed all my positions by close of play. (The spread was miniscule so it worked for me ok as away of trading.)

I understand the tax advantage but with CGT being £12500 tax free and the Isa's ,with running 2 trading accounts and 2 isa's is plenty of annual income without having to worry about Tax.

(If HE1 struck it really, really big (500p say), then I might cash in and actually pay some tax on the trading accounts... ha ha!)

Yet my posts over the last weeks have been to say i have been buying (I tend not to say when I sell anymore because...well...you know what that would result in).

So I will defend myself against these attacks from so many people.

As you say, all they have to do is ignore or filter me but they don't. They can't help themselves. If they stopped the personal attacks then i would not respond.

stevie, so my single cog having identified 127p as a resistance point allowed me to sell some when it failed to break through and since then in the last 3 weeks its fallen over 25%. I am going to buy some more now at 94p.

Onwards Avacta (i'm sure if we all say that enough that will affect the SP in a positive manner.)
