Took a decision to get back in. (fortunately quite a bit less in % terms then I sold last week )

Anyway up 12% personally and will see how this pans out today.

I hope you are right crow. It "feels" like its ready to pop up to me, but that could be subconscious bias. On the other hand watching SP so much for so long (I would hope) that also at a subconscious level something is being recognised!

Thats fair enough Hel, but (and its not foolproof I know!), but the SP usually tells the story. So if things were felt to be progressing to plan, you would likely see a gradual rise rather than a gradual fall over the last weeks/months

It could all come good with a good news RNS on Monday. Its just looks to me as though that would be a surprise to the market rather than, what seems to be a growing expectation of delay.

It looks as though there is a sell or some sells going through and the MM's or some trading platforms have not got enough stock to take on any more sell orders at the current displayed sell price of 113p

maybe a large sell going through?

I think al l thats happened is that the market perceives the risk to have increased of a raise prior to a discovery and as a result some, due to this perceived higher risk, have taken some money off the table.

I use HL, but my methods are very basic for making decisions. a bit of support and resistance, coupled with the RSI and that works (for me) enough times to stay ahead of the game.

This one now has allowed me to get out with a small loss as not only has it broken support, it was a bit like this the day before the bad news, so for better or worse I will re-allocate the funds elsewhere.

Dai, what was your reasoning for your buy price? (I only ask because it was at a support yesterday at 2.75p and therefore that was a chart entry point.)

You say in your post #buy&hold and have a strong buy as a recommendation. Based on what?

You went through a phase many weeks ago of expecting substantial buying. You never explained why you thought this at the time and now its never taken place, don't offer any explanation subsequently.

If you want me to be positive, I positively think your views based on no shared analysis are dangerous to other readers here who might be swayed by your completely bias and one sided view of both the macro picture and EVE's prospects.

its not negative its a fact of life.

Sterling is tipped to go to parity with the dollar in the next few months. The level of borrowing is causing the UK to pay higher rates for that money. Lower Sterling fuels inflation further.

The UK is entering recession.

It is an understanding of these events that allow better decision making.

This is excellent news (as you say) in as much as the fire engine is on the way to your burning house........

invest, its a bit double edged as Sterling is going to continue to come under a lot of pressure. This in turn will undermine general market confidence.

It depends on how the BoE decides to react. Will it push rates up to defend the £ and try to get on top of inflation or let events follow their natural course?

I don't think EVE told the market that previous talks had failed to materialise the following day of their demise.

I think the market will be updated if there is news of a sale completed, otherwise update of any continuing DD or failure of, will be folded into a more general update of the company

I don't understand the reference bitl.

Its just I think sometimes this can be over thought and it is reminiscent of the type of posts we had during the LFT frenzy.
