ES, "I’m baffled and RAH is right the Market is thick as mince"
What happens when AVCT issue an RNS or have a investor day etc?
The SP reacts right? That means people (the market) are reading the RNS's. They are not actually stupid, so given the market is keeping an eye on AVCT then the SP is not due to the stupidity of the participants. (I would also draw your attention to the fact the SP has been 3 times its current value in the last couple of years so the market does not have a problem understanding what AVCT does at any given time.)
Here are some questions for you.
When will this part of the trial complete?
When will P1b start?
When will the first data from P1b be released?
What will the data say?
Is there enough money to see the trial through?
Is the DX division losing or making money?
When will the tech (assuming it works), be monitised?
How much profit per dose/treatment will AVCT make?
Will AVCT be bought out? and if so when? and for how much?
Will AVCT go it alone? If they do how much do they need?
Will Affimers become a new testing treatment? and if so when?
How big and by when does AVCT want the DX division to grow to?
Does it need to raise funds to do that?
Every answer is "I don't know", which is perfectly fine, but given those few questions and there are loads more, shows that right now there is too much uncertainty for the market to commit in the way we think it should.
This stock I think will catch fire one day, I don't know when that day will be, but all of a sudden it will. I am sure we will all pat each other on the back and say how smart we were to get in where we did, but remember this: 3 years ago the SP was 145p.
Successful Investment is returns measured by the time held.
I have said before the market won't care buying in at 200p or more per share if they see a runway to greater share appreciation within a reasonable timescale.
Timing is everything, absolutely everything.
