No, this latest RNS is new info and to me its a profit warning with more delays. Which means things are not going to plan.

My premise was the tech was sound and therefore ceratin delays might be expected, but never once has it come forward, never once have they delivered, so I am reviewing the pipeline as to be to now a wish list rather than a pathway.

Every "Drill" (commercial product), has failed, they have come back to the market roughly evey 15-18 months for more money and for no gain. (Its about £200m to get to this stage.)

. And I am sure as I can be there is another cash raise coming. They even bought a cash generative business and now can't even get an offer on that.

Clearly side affects are reduced, but is it only in some cases, have there been cases whre its been much less significant?

The natural reaction to the above statement would be a rising SP and already perhaps abuy out.

Yet the trial is expensively over run in time coupled with an ever decreasing SP. The actual cost of the loan (in shares) is not enough to continually depress the SP that means no one wants to buy it.

Think about that.

If the Science has turned out to be far better than expected then the SP would not react this way.

The argument that is all going to plan and anthe science is beyond expectation has in my mind no validity at all.

FDA? how long have they been looking at it? fast track? it couldn't go any slower.

History of AVCT, failed with every single commercial product to date.

Nothing but delays, again.

This I fear now is a dog of an investment.

Well, If I had written that it would have been deleted as fud.

So, he is now highlighting death spirals and his investment now relies on a fingers crossed policy.

If only somebody had highlighted this previously.

Given the tiny amount of dilution it would seem a very conscious decision for the owed company to prefer payment in shares which I do see as very positive.

I would expect them, being closer to events than us lot, to be more informed to take that sort of payment because in the normal run of things nothing quite beats cold, hard cash. So to forgo that looks , as I say, a positive development.

Well, fwiw, the chart has got me back in. the down trend looks to have reversed. there are a few targets prices from here as it was quite the zigzag down.

Ultimately a close around 12p or better will be the main target.

Its goes quiet now unless news is released so January is most likely the timescale for this if is to arrive. But a 50% gain is a worthwhile risk reward from here. imo dyor etc

Well yes, but be careful what you wish for.

If the news was detrimental to the SP then the BoD are likely to hold it back if its not legally incumbent to do so.

I seem to remember AS being a past master at keeping quiet for forecasted news never materialising until it was so late in coming we all had figured out it had been dropped.

As i say, I can't see any reason why good TX data would not be released when available. There is no advantage to an artificially low SP. I am surprised that we have not had the last P1a data released given it has been many moths since it finished.

I can see a (weak) argument for P1b dosing not to be released as CC said it had started (ie patient selection), but again, if there was just a Tweet that P1b had started then I am sure it would be some sort of filup to the SP, and can't see a reason why it would not be announced, in the sense what harm would it do?

Its not a case of hand holding per se, because the SP has been under pressure for a long time now and its shareholders that have borne the entire brunt of the dilution and retreating SP. They deserve any help the Bod can give to the SP. (imo dyor etc etc)

I agree Rambo, there is no benefit at all to a low SP for the BoD of AVCT, never mind the owners of the business, ie the shareholders, who, just to remind everybody work to benefit us.

If AVCT are sitting on info that would bolster the SP it is inconceivable that they are holding it back.

Which unfortunately leads me to the likely conclusion, there are yet more delays being endured for whatever reason.

I would be very (pleasantly) surprised, if there are any negotiations going on at all at the moment for the DX division.

I think the problem is that AIM is not a place for investors if its a loss making company.

The whole point of Aim is for loss making companies able to easily (and continually) raise cash for nothing through issuing shares. Normally there is time for the underwriters of the raise to have time to forward sell the new stock so they make money, so good for the company, good for the underwriters and the PI's take up the dilution.

It is possible to trade these stocks but it is high risk as the spreads and the small market cap increase the risk of loss rather than profit, skewing the risk/reward ratio's most traders use to manage money/risk.

I have had some success but you have to take the profit (if it pans out) rather than hanging on for more. ie stick to the plan.

Its quite possible to make 5-15% on 350 -100 ftse companies over a period of a few days to a couple of weeks. Because there are smaller spreads , bigger Mkt Caps and profit making it allows me to invest bigger bets as the risk reward becomes likely more excisable.

Whereas on aim stocks to minimise potential loss means I place much smaller bets.

Anyway, its just my musing but what I have learnt, stay away from loss making companies until you think the last cash raise has been put in place. That then gives a much higher chance of SP appreciation thereafter.

Well, patience looks like it has paid off.

a close above 12.5p is next and from there a close above 16p although its quite muddied between 12.5 and 16p so may take a little while unless there is specific news that propels the SP more violently.

ES, the accounts are already done, so if a buyer was in the wings not only will they have those draft accounts but also the completely up-to-date, day-to-day management accounts too. They will have/had access to order books now and pencilled in for the next 6 months etc etc. They will have been supplied with every financial and production forecast available.

I can see no reason why any sale would be held up for the parent company's accounts.

It depends |(if there are any buyers), what they want? Do they want only to buy one of the two, or both. If AVCT insist on its a job lot then they may be asking for a hefty discount to take on either one they don't want?

My best guess on any co-ordination that AVCT might insist on is the release of TX data to co-incide with the sale.

I am guessing that the sale proceeds will be disappointing to the market so it may need the TX data to support the SP as part of AVCT's market cap is the value assigned to the DX division and if it results in a write down then that is likely to have a negative effect on the SP all things being equal, hence the did fora good TX data update. (imo dyor etc etc.

I fear, by using reason, D, that you are wasting your time trying to show the flaws in the non-sensical" logic" employed by a few here.

The problem is once an entrenched position is taken is difficult for many to admit they may have been wrong so continually double down, digging the hole ever deeper making ever more likely to admit they may have been wrong.

Well Largo, from a TA perspective we still need a close at 51p or above as further confirmation of the reversal.
