Slight pull back leaves room for a move up today. Not critical if it drops but given the recent upward trend a further move down would be a bit of drag on the trend.

No its not illegal. its just seeing what the current buy/sell price is.

In my defence BV it was some time ago.

Remember we have no real knowledge what is a buy and what is a sell, just some unreliable algo giving at best an indication.. Not only that but large transactions are often reported a day or two later.

And finally... who cares? There is nothing we can do about it so why worry about it?

All I know is that this conversation never, ever, ever arises when the SP is rising.

The flaw to me in the argument, is that if the price is kept artificially low to suit a buyer then more and more buyers would want to take advantage of the artificially low price creating yet more demand. Why would the price ever go up?

So what? so there is a buyer. its not up to the MM's to act illegally and remember if they need to fill that order they need the stock, so they are reliant on a seller(s) to want to sell. where is the incentive at the current price?

Perhaps there is a seller out there? that would make more sense. (well at least to me)

Because for every buyer there is a seller?

There is simply no logic or reason for MM's to keep a price artificially low or high. They make money on the spread. (Plus market manipulation is illegal. i have not been on a single BB over the years where MM's are blamed for acting illegally when the SP is low, but never when it is rising.)

VR, it makes no difference to the MM's what the price is. If demand is pushing the price up then you let it go to influence sellers to release stock. You don't do that by holding it back.

It is a weird argument that to curtail demand you keep the price artificially low......

Whay many here forget or don't even realise that these free forums are basically pandering to the gambler. They forget they are the mugs and the market is the house.

Eventually those without any investment system will lose money either quickly or over time. but the result will be the same.

WB's 5 rules to investing are always worth a read to remove the wheat from the chaff.

(1st rule, don't lose money, 2nd rule, don't forget rule one........)

Abit choppy but a close above 11.25 is the first (small) step, the next bigger one is a close above 12.5p and thats when there are a myriad of "highs".

if it goes above and holds the 12.5p target, which is not nothing since the (very) recent low of 9.35, then its 16p with then the biggie at 23.5p.

However that is quite a jump from where we are and the pace of historical upward moves, so a lot can happen on the way which then might change this forward expectations. (imo, dyor etc etc)

From a TA pov, a close above .175p looks to me to be the first significant target. fingers crossed

The SP will rise irrespective of what the entry short price was. If people are long then a higher SP will benefit them to some degree or other.

As I have mentioned before the short might be a hedge. Who knows and really, honestly who cares....

To go long or short is just an investment decision, I just am constantly amazed at the reaction shorts get on any stock. The emotional wringing of hands is pretty instructive imo.

Well, we might have a slight edge, as its only Pi's and trainee's in the market today so it won't be until next week that the swinging dicks get back into the office.

(I always find this a good time to change any balance to the high risk part of my holdings)
