But another part important part of the DEC strategy is to keep purchasing new Wells, as they have old ageing Wells that will give lower yields year in year out. So what the market may be factoring in is the future profitability of the company as any new purchase will be on higher rates and new purchases are needed.

If DEC can hold on until rates drops or get new purchases at heavy discount that would help.

Another factor that is maybe not taken into consideration is future gas prices are likely on the uptrend (but this is a bit of a guess as we don't really know how things play out in the future)

All we can do is wait and hope fed starts to ease rates in the coming months

Volumes have been low for the last few days, I suspect BB is supporting the share price.

I agree with ealier comments that management shot them selves in the foot, by announcing large BB they don't aim to fill or huge project in the horizone with no clarity, it doesn't fill the market with confidence when they don't fulfil. I'm hoping the negative sentiment starts to break in the run up to Christmas and next set of financial results, but we would need to see a few consecutive days of sp increase to break the cycle

Hey Jimmy, just to be clear I am bullish regarding DEC, but recent volatility does require a closer monitoring.

I have seen the interim results and with the help of rogue trader the finances do make sense. I also agree regarding the fact the are not keen on using too much cash on the BB. What I don't understand is why they wouldn't want to significantly increase the BB, this is a very good opportunity with BB tax low in America currently, share price heavily deflated and finally the significantly reduced dividend burden and increased future liquidity that comes from needing less money for dividend.

Maybe they are eyeing up a purchase in the coming weeks months 🤔

This is interesting, I am following the BB to get an impression of the companies liquidity. Not sure why they would not have done any BB last Friday given the high trading volumes and low price.

The director purchases are small but still a good sign.

Fully agree with that Miller, add in the signals from the fed at the time regarding interest rates being held for longer period of time and the markets finally practicing some facial tightening

I suspect it will depress the price rise for Dec, as the fed may need to consider further interest rate rise, however Dec has been oversold so expect price to reach 80s in the next week or so and stabilise for a while.

I am glad at the new heading of the share price and happy o didn't sell, normally I would have but I couldn't see a reason for the significant drop.

Regarding the share BB I am happy they have increased the rate, I don't really care if its at 67, 71 or 80, the loss or gain is miniscule in the long term. The main thing they need to focus on is maintaining the current rate as this will support the share price and mean long term they will save 15-20% percent per year per share bought back (which is higher then any interest they are being charged)

I'm am not sure what's actually going on but I'm S***ing my pants atm.

I down 30% and wondering if I should jump ship. Nothing has actually material changed from last set of results which were seen as positive so I don't know why it's dropped.

But I'm to weak to sell so will likely hold and just hope its market jitters. Would be alot more confident if I saw 1mill BB in current climate

I wasn't aware of any trading volume restrictions? If this just ftse 250 regulations or something the company has specifically made reference too.

I agree with the sentiment that BB are a good idea at current price range but the company isn't really doing it. They seem to jump in with 120-250k which is not anywhere near enough, they need 500k-1mil BB to get close to the 100m BB program within a year, this is also what's needed to support current share price.

I suspect the company does not have the extra £100m stated and that's why the BB is not as high. The other financials seem sound enough but they also need new purchases to maintain good cash flows in future.

Current price is likely triggered by stop losses coming into effect, plus I strongly think a large seller is out there slowly selling down there holdings

That's interesting, I didn't know sipps were exempt from the 15% withholding tax as per the UK USA agreement. I hold my investments in a stocks and shares ISA but still getting hit with the 15% withholding tax.

Thanks for this but I think it came out with the last set of financial results, so its impact is already priced in and not halting the current decline.

If DEC actually has a large capital buffer I do wish they ramp up the BB, a 17%reduction per share purchased is likely to be a lot lower then the cost of any debt. I am interested to see how there cash flows look like in the next set of results.

I was shocked when I first got hit with the 15%. Does anyone know if we get this back at any stage or is it gone to the Americans for ever.

Can't imagine how I'd feel if 30%x2 was being withheld ...... basically robbery. Not sure I would be that invested in this stock if I was you.

Hey everyone, new to the forum but I have been tracking the conversation from everyone for the last few weeks. Good blend of views in general, even GGs.

Overall I feel most are bullish about this stock as am I, having spent some time trying to understand financials and seeing that very informative video from rogue trader.

I can't fully understand the current trade price outside of a large distressed seller out there whos slowly selling to try and not have a large negative effect on share price ( resulting in lower returns for them).

I also agree with the company ramping up BB as this price seems too good to be true and will result in more free cash flow in the future, if you cancel out the 17% return that have been due on those stocks.

I hope we get more clarity with more financial result updates, for now I'm content to hold and top up slowly.
