Huge volume today and price is well up, this is reassuring.

As others have stated, most here expected these kinds of numbers but what it has shown the market is the benefit of recent deals finally starting to bear fruit and the reassurance that provides.

I am most curious as to how the American markets react as they don't always follow the UK.

Hopefully this is the start of the re rate, as trek hopes for £14 I'm holding out for £15 over the next 3 months

From the price changes it looks like nothing has leaked, as the price hasn't swung one way or they other. The slight pull back is natural prior to results as some investors are cautious.

We will see one way or another how the sp reacts Monday, but I suspect it would either stay the same or shoot up. If it's more of the same might look for growth elsewhere.

Yea I'm curious about this as well. Any details of when the results would be published, available.

I suspect they would give a vague time line as in the past they haven't always met the deadlines, but I kind find amy reference to the vague timeline (probably haven't looked hard enough) so would be grateful if any knows and even more happy of they attach a link.

Wow what a huge drop, any indication why?

Volume hasn't been that high today 98k uk shares with a daily average of 178k.

Clearly the drag down is from US side, but why I'm not sure. In the coming days it will be more evident, I'm just worried that it could be due to leaked results (as the results go upto 31st of July, so today would be the first day they actually can leak)

Thanks for that, interesting read. The picture at DEC looks alot healthier then it did in the recent past. Hopefully the August results reflect this, if they do and leverage is brought down significantly then expect and significantly rerate in the coming weeks.

Im quite impressed with the recent uptick in share price. Not certain if it's the gas deal related or leaked results.

I just hope it stays up and the momentum continues, also looks like the US seller has run out of shares, as volumes not that high last few days, further good news.

I suspect this is good news.

In the long run it will push up gas prices and exports. Short time it will cause a small rise then settle down again as it will take year for the lng export facilities to be built, I am aware a few are already near completion but many more likely needed.

Overall good news for DEC and positive for world market

These are quite chunky BBs.

On one hand clearly not happy the share is stuck in this range, as has been said in the past likely due to sell off from one of the deals rusty done.

On the other hand the company is showing a significant amount of strength to be able to maintain such large BBs when ever the boundary they set is crossed. This gives confidence the capital position is strong unlike previous BBs which were fairly weak and not maintained.

Hopefully the seller will run out of shares by August and we have a good report to push this share that much higher

Can someone one remind me what the share price was at the time of the acquisitions, not sure if it was at £10.50 or £11.50.

This means either the sellers are getting out at break even or as I suspect a small loss as the shares they aquired were pri ed at £11.50 at the time.

This means that the assets purchased are even cheaper then initially thought

Only thing supporting the share price is the BB, most traders have probably caught on that and wouldn't be surprised if they are trading in that range as well.

BB should not be price bound and continue regardless of the price but DEC obviously have other genius plans

Thanks guys, the messages today clarify for me how the partnership will work. The real question is how much will be paid to dec for the management of these assets, is it a flate rate, isit a proportion of the profits, would they be purchasing these assets together (50/50 or some other ratio)

I suspect all this will become clearer once the partnership goes into effect and some new assets are acquired.

Gas and oil prices all linked to the current war.

I don't think /hope this was will go on for too much longer and hopefully calmer heads will prevail, with some sort of negotiation.

If it doesn't then oil and gases prices will shoot up, we'd be a little richer invested here but at what cost.

I was wondering what the cause of drop was yesterday. While this is a potential explanation it's very weak, as they stated in the quote DEC is an American company with majority of shares now held in US. I suppose sentiment is so weak that any bad news sends the share price tumbling.

Im glad the BB provide some kind of safety net, potential in future the limit can be raised as well.

In other news, it's very scary times following the Israeli attack on Iran. Generally it's good news for oil and gas producers but geo politically it puts all of us and our general lives in trouble

Well today the volume has been super low, on 20k volume when daily average is around 200k. Looks like we will be guided by the American market when it opens up

My plan was to sell today and buy back tomorrow, but with the way the SP is climbing becoming so what reluctant. Might wake up to another huge share BB and ongoing rise

Who us Randy wade and why is he connected to the company they shares were repurchased from.

Overall it's a good sign the DEC had $11.2 million to hand for the share BB. Hopefully they can do s little more of this with other companies looking to sell out.

Great timing before the shares go ex divi as well

Ofcourse, with so much going on and the ling bank holiday i actually forgot about this piece of news.

If I'm correct you'd need to hold the stock on the 28th to qualify for the divi by the 29th.

So I would expect a drop on the 29th, seriously considering selling it all on tomorrow and buying back in on Thursday, as historically the drop has been bigger then the divi, but it current climate a new piece of news might come out and drive the stock surging forward.... looks like I haven't the stomach for short term trading

Just for clarification if the share goes ex divi on the 29th, do you have to have held prior to this date or on this date

Looks like no BB yesterday, but sometimes they don't issue the RNS until 12 sport we will see.

If there's isn't a resumption of BB one can only assume it restarts below a certain threshold, $13 dollars has been mentioned here a few times.

This isn't really the way to do BB and smacks of someone trying to be too smart for their own good. BB should be done either when you have more cash then know what todo with or if you feel the company has been undervalued and it would beneficial to share holders to purchase at below expected market rates. Both of the above with give the market confidence in the balance books and improve sentiment. What DEC are doing is just shredding confidence as people are seconding guessing why it's so hit a miss.

I'm considering selling out prior to ex divi and buying back in after as generally the drop is bigger then the divi
