Well the market has taken well to the share offering, it was only a slight discount to price and appears all shares have been taken up + the sp is higher then the offer today ... all good news

While DEC will purchase 3.9 milldon shares directly, 3.6 million shares left over for the general market.

Overall I am happy with this deal, a bit like ripping a band aid off, short term pain hopefully for long term gain.

One of the biggest mistakes of the recent purchases has been the issue of shares as part of the deals, this has had a significant and sustained downward pressure on the SP. Hopefully we can move one once it has concluded

We can't seem to break the $15 mark, likely people are selling into this rise

The end of year results suggested BB would be restarted from the 1st of march onwards, with upto 10% of shares bought.

I can not see any BB so far so was wondering if they are waiting for the right price, but I suspect not as we are already pretty cheap, or they are doing deals with those that wish to offload to directly take the share off them.

Any ideas ?

Well the expected war has started, what ever your opinions on it are, this is likely to be a large war with heavy casualties. (FYI trump has to go for all our safety)

I expect the price of oil and gas to jump up significantly, probably more lucrative for us holding these stocks but at what cost morally...

Hey everyone especially terry and Jim.

It's good to see the excellent results are as expected and the uplift in share price. Myself and some of the others above had predicted this.

The 200 million as discussed in this bored again provided to be for a new acquisition, best part is that not further shares are being issued as part of the purchase and leverage ratios and down.

I really think now £10+ is the floor for this share with the future prices heading up. My assumption mainly based on gas prices creeping up or staying stable around the recent averages. The share BB being restarted next monday (7.8 million shares, hopefully this sucks up the remaining unwanted shares). The new larger and more financially secure company will likely reassure investors.

This all holds true for me while the republicans are in power as the ARO issue is still there, even if DEC have made some progress with it.

Yea its been a slight retrace for a few days now, but volumes have been remarkable low. Currently 40k volumes on the ftse with a daily average around 120.

People are holding tight until the results are out this Thursday

The share price has certainly steadily climbed over the last week, but mainly on low volumes.

I suspect someone who was selling shares at a constant drip has stopped.

Hopefully this sets us up for a big bounce on results day

If a deal is announced and no further shre dilution and minimal more funds to be raised outside of the 200mill already done so, it might be taken positively. It all really depends on the details

Just saw that trump has revoked green house gases ruling which includes things such as methane emissions.

DEC has been pretty good at cleaning up methane emissions and were getting tax credits from doing this. Its a nice little earner for the company, not such what impact this would have going forward.

Not sure how significant this would be ling term especially as it seems trumps/republicans time in power is looking short term

Terry while I dont agree with everything you say i always take it on board to form a better picture of DEC. The one thing we can all agree on is the SP has been trash.

Re the 200 million i really suspect its one of those deals rusty feels it was imperative to make and the quickest and most convenient way of doing it, was tapping into a agree he had previously made, under the same terms to immediately can access to 200 million. The alternative is that the company does actually need this for free cash flow which is a very worrying scenario, however unlikely.

Let's see what the results show in 2 weeks, but this slow creep up of the sp is encouraging

Looks like results are being released on Thursdays 26th of February, after american market's close with a conference call the following day to discuss the results

They tend to release end of year results around mid March.

Last year it was the 17th of March, but they are ready compiling/complied the data now, as its the results upto the 31st Dec 2025

Let's see Terry, would much prefer this to be a more organic rise.

Given the results are due out soon could be due to a leak. I'm expecting very good results given the benefits of the acquisitions are finally gonna be felt.

Im fairly certain we will be hearing about a new acquisition in the coming weeks, either that or some kind of large share BB.

So in the last 3-4 months 10% of the company has been offloaded onto the market, as a knock on effect the SP has been hammered down.

Hopefully the board has learned no more deals with shares being used as payment

Terry I agree with you in part.

I think in the long run a larger company with more assets is better for DEC. However this was done via a horrible exchange of shares instead of cash to people who it appears had no interest in said shares and are happy to dump into the market to get their money.

I think until the overhang of shares is cleared up we will be in this cycle, hopefully a long and sustained BB can be carried out to remove 5-7 million shares.

Im looking forward to the end of year results as I expect them to be quite good

Terry I agree in part with you regarding the deals. Main issue I feel was the use of shares in exchange of c

BB in this price range are incredible value for the company ( if nothing else it reduced dividend burden which stands at over 10%).

Whats worrying is that it appears no BB yesterday, have they exhausted reserves or is this related to the news re well plugging new enquiry. With current administration I dont think they have anything to worry about regarding plugging liability
