I have actually thought the same, either a contributor or someone who just reads what's being said.

He often appears to address points that are brought up in the forum, could be coincidence.

4.942M shares traded today against an average of 396k. Some major exchanges of shares, I suspect a large BB was carried out as well.

The only good news is someone is picking up these shares and the price held today, It would need to hold / rise for a few consecutive days / weeks to push back the shorters.

In response to some of the people the shorters are not the problem here, they are just the symptoms and inevitable event of the BOD weird actions or lack thereof in the last few months. They really need to get a handle of the SP with the next set of financial results.

Trek I don't know how you keep averaging down and not at a loss. There hasn't really been uptick in Dec to lock in a profit to sell and wait for a dip, unless you have very large reserves in the background.

I wish you the best, on the face of it appears your strategy is working much better then mine. My isa is maxed and down a huge amount on Dec, my worst preforming share by some margin, the only thing I can do is reinvest the divi but at some stage it feels like throwing good money after bad.

I don't know what's happening here, I thought I done due diligence before investing but in close to 50% down at this stage, I always knew ut was a but if a punt but not ine that would go so horribly wrong.

Saying all this I intend to hold as I don't see current share price as fair value and the company has maintained dividend for the last 5 years or so. Hopefully things will pick up but the board or directors need to do a little more then issue an rns saying nothings changed here.

I'm confused by the latest sale.

These appear to be core assets that are being sold, admittedly at a good price. The only reason I see is that they are worried debt is becoming more unmanageable long term and trying to bring it down, or have a very good deal lined up that they need to draw equity for and normal ways, such as share issue or asking lenders, are no go areas.

It's not the best look if i am honest but the market appears to like it.

This has been a terrible year for DEC, my holding average around 90p in old money, so I am suffering but I am aware a few more are hurting a little more.

Generally I am optimistic regarding DEC but can see why people/investors are having doubts. Any political scrutiny is never good news for any company + mix in the current climate challenges and investing in this gas and oil stock becomes very challenging.

I am no climate denier and agree we need to wean ourselves off fossil fuel (nuclear anyone), but the need for gas, the cleanest form of fossil fuel, will be around for a few more decades.

DEC is about to turn profitable is regular accounting terms, I am hoping this mixed in with political issues being hurdled will result in a steady SP increase.

BB have been promising recently, I would not mind dividend being kept at current levels to facilitate more BB as long term this is the correct move for the company.

As poor as GG choice of words regarding his gas related joke was, it also doesn't excuse Andies joke about Muslims.

This does smack of political interference, however any political interference is never good news. The quicker it is resolved the better, I do agree DEC is actually very well placed to address these issues, only concern is that leads to more enquiries as the Democrats won't find the smoking gun they are looking for

Middle Eastern LNG exporters only uses the suaz canal for Europe. To supply Asia they already have direct access through the Indian ocean.

The USA has not really built the infrastructure to ship LNG to Europe, I'm sure in the coming years thar could change but will take some time.

In reality a short term crash in gas is very beneficial for DEC as only 15% of the gass they sell is unhedged slightly lower profits yes but competitors likely to go bankrupt and need to sell assets fast. It will also mean less investment in drilling, which come a few years down the line results in lower gas production and likely higher prices.

If DEC has more capital it should use this opportunity to buy more fields in the near future.

I popped into this group to see if any new information, insights into lloyds future (it's been the same for ages, price depressed for no clear reason outside of it being linked to uk economy, but making huge profits which in the past should see double to treble current share price) but instead I find this group is full of people with bigoted views and zero discuss re the actual stock ....

Feel a little bad for judge metal, sometime a few hours can make a huge difference in trades. Unlucky timing mate.

Alot of people on here talking like dec has such a large excess cash reserve for BB or paying down debt early. I think one of the main reasons it's dropping is that it doesn't actually have a cash buffer so if anything was to ho wrong then nothing to fall back on. This is evident by the now no existent BB, which was poor to begin with.

If they do build up a cash buffer, and that's a big if, the priority is paying off short term debt facility then BB. The amortised debt should be left alone as the interest rate is so low.

If the set of results tomorrow continue the previous trend its good news, as on more conventional accounting it will show the business swinging into profits. This willd make it easier for most investors to understand and build confidence, it took me a while with the help of some YouTube videos to understand the company accounting better.

Actually what I said earlier was wrong, I had a quick look and looked like volume was 1.3m, it's 8 mil today which is double the normal volume

They daily volumes are so low. It suggest more of no buyers rather heavy seller situation.

Would the November update help? I suspect the interest rates and fed updates will likely have a bigger impact on share price

If fed holds or even suggest future drop in rates I expect DEC to start heading up.

Likely the fed will hold rates and send signals this is the case for near future.

Lots of messages on this forum lately but with not much information, I would suggest nothing much would chnage until either fed signals cuts to rates or the next set of results show a rosy picture for DEC.

I think if none of the fundamentals for the company have changed then this is hopefully a short term blip. If you look at volumes they have been generally low suggesting no surge for sell off just an anaemic drip down.

Terry, having a quick look at when the BB started and now it appears something close to 5mil shares have been removed. Not really a great amount.

I think if you are to implement a BB it should be much better then this or just don't do it and use the capital for other things.

The fundamentals of the company appear good and its just a matter of time until they have a better cashflow/reserve and maybe carry out their aims a little better

One can only assume someone/ some institution in the US has been seeling for a long time now.

This is the motley fool, honestly there advice has always been terrible. They are free so you get what you pay for in terms of information.

I've actually found that more often then not the exact opposite of what they predict actually occurs.
