It would be helpful if we could get an update from the meeting from someone who was actually there. Anyone ....? The ideal scenario would be that someone recorded the whole thing, a bit like pyro did at an FRR meeting recently. Here’s hoping.

I agree that the potential in Zimbabwe is huge. It’s interesting that AP and Tucker quickly bought some shares. I assume that the closed period ended and they saw a small window of opportunity in which they were able to buy shares in vast, before news of additional ventures became known, which would effectively shut them both out of the market again. Bodes well for the rest us with sizeable holdings in vast.

I’m with you toatie. I’ve filtered about 5 people this morning who have obviously turned up to try and talk this share down. My filtered list is getting very long... All good things will come to those that wait.

Maybe my calculation is too simplistic, but 1st Oct until the 22nd October is 21 days. 69360 barrels divided by 21 is 3304 bopd!

And what’s your theory about where it’s from Madpunter? Do you think it could all have come from FRR? Are there any possible alternatives?

1/7.1=0.14, which is broadly the same as the 0.136 that was also used. Essentially Pecten has divided by 7 and Zib has timesed by 7. Since 7x 7 =49, that accounts for the approx 50 times difference in your calcs. I don’t know which one of you is right, but I hope it’s Zib for obvious reasons!

Regarding the paid shorters who have appeared today, it’s unlike them to be so busy at the weekend and in such big numbers. Perhaps they are starting to get nervous that a deal is about to land. Perhaps my earlier prediction of a deal by the end of the month is not actually optimistic enough! Bring on the good news. Monday morning please.

BillB I agree with much of what you’ve said. There is clearly a lot of disappointment with the sp, given the expectation of a big rise with the award of the licence. I don’t know if anyone has had advanced warning of a placement or not, and I have personally been too busy over the past couple of days to trade these shares as others seem to have done, but for my part I was always in vast for a longer time frame. In the medium term this share still looks very attractive, particularly with the diamonds and so if some investors have made a quick buck then I’m not too bothered. A quick placement now to put this issue to bed please AP

It was Tom 2468 who managed to help get Vast into the Mail on Sunday from memory. Tom also said that his contact would do a full article on Vast once the licence was awarded. Here’s hoping your contact is true to their word Tom. Every bit of PR will help.

A couple of days ago I posted that the delay of the licence had made the share boring. AP was holding back any other good news until after the licence had been awarded. And with that, traders had sold and LTHs were sitting on their hands, waiting patiently. Well not any more - no longer can this be classed as a boring share. Diamonds and blueberry news and no doubt several podcasts will now follow with haste imo and with that the sp will only move upwards. Well done AP. One very happy and excited sh here.
