Links with yrabsmurruc‘s post this morning: A 1072 man Bought on friday with 9 mins to go....@61.. sells today less than a minute in.@ 60.......hundred quid to burn. Investors not wanting to miss a 7am RNS. They must reckon the £100 loss each time is worth it.

At around 13:16 the sells we’re going through at 0.592, whereas this was traded for 0.6. I still think it’s a buy. Guess who’s meant to be working from home today!

A big 48k purchase reported at 13:16, starting to make up for those sells. Still very optimistic about Vast, just losing the will to love in the meantime.

It states that a ukrainian has quietly become the second largest shareholder with 20% and the BOD are now trying to find out the how and why. Could this happen at FRR - a few facts looked at from a different angle. Rumour failed takeover @3p or are they still trying using different tactics. Zaza uses primary bid for placing direct to public rather than to institutions who might at some point in the future sell onto a stake builder. YA shares direct to market rather than placed with an institution Share tipping service find out about arbitration - could they have been fed the information by someone wanting to build a large low cost stake. Suddenly YA and placings stop. Could it be that the BOD realize they are making a rod for their own back as it were? Shareholder information starts to be restricted is this to make it more difficult for someone to build a stake. Zaza in podcast about BOD percentage of shares is a little shaken and just gives approx percentages is this because he does not want to give information to possible stake builders. A number of posters have commented on unusual share transactions slowly reducing number of shares in free float - possible computerized buy programe buying small amounts each day so as not to effect the price. Number of shorters - some posters think it almost like a vendetta - is it really to keep the share price low for someone building a stake. Lets face it anybody with a large stake bought at these low prices is eventually on way or another going to make a big profit given the gas potential , oil and now T39.

I agree that there must be cash tied up in Zimbabwe at the moment that can be used to invest in new projects. I remember Castaway saying a while back that he was confident that the new regime would soon start to allow cash to be be removed from Zimbabwe and that would then be a game changer for Vast. Fingers crossed. It will be good for both the workers in Zimbabwe and Vast shareholders.

Another idea which might count as food for thought... The Zimbabwe elections were far from ideal, with Mnangagwa declared as the winner but with doubts raised as to who really won and further questions re police/army brutality. Mnangagwa however will still want to open the country up for foreign investment- nothing will have changed there. This scenario may well play into Vast’s hands. We’re in the country and want to expand. Others who perhaps were wanting to get involved may well now be more reticent given the issues surrounding the election. It may mean that Vast now gets a bigger slice of the pie. IMO GLA

Looks like Mnangagwa has won the Zimbabwean election for ZanuPF (according to the BBC). Good news for the economy and good news for VAST imo. All you need to know is that Robert and Grace Mugabe were supporting the opposition....

Mad punter - thanks for all your hard graft on this (at least it got us away from all the silly posts I saw last night and decided to filter!). The point I was making I suppose was that even discounting the gas, if we can open up all these new wells as Zaza has suggested, then we are definitely going to be worth something within a relatively short period of time. These present sp woes are the result of sh who have lost either patience or too much money, and have therefore moved on. Given time, the rest of us will eventually be rewarded. Perhaps it does sound like jam tomorrow, but your figures do seem to confirm my thoughts (even if by your reckoning it will be a 1.2p party!). Thanks again.

According to Friday’s Times newspaper, BP have brought oil fields off BHP Biliton for 10.5 billion dollars. They presently produce 190000 bopd and have reserves of 4.6 billion barrels. Since we should be producing 1000 bopd by Christmas that would make us worth 1/190th of 10.5 billion dollars (not considered reserves as I’ve forgotten what Zaza said we had...). He said that soon we’d be producing 10000 bopd or 1/19th the size of the BHP Biliton deal. By my reckoning, 1/190th x 10.5 billion dollars is about 55 million dollars (almost exactly equal to the value of FRR given the present sp), and 1/19th x 10.5 billion dollars equates to 550 million dollars, or about 3p per share. Any thoughts? Hope my maths is better than the 200% loss debacle from earlier in the day! Gas on top off course. Either way, i’m now looking forward to the 3p party.....
