Amazon buys up a covid -19 LFT company. Surely at this price Novacyt must be a sitting duck for a take over , which would be bad news for private investors.

HarChris , not really a salad fan at all . Its just that having looked at the last few presentations from David Allmond , i am not impressed with him at all and feel he is a muppet to James Wakefield who has him on strings .

Ever watched the film ' The Firm ' ? The BOD at Novacyt remind me exactly of ' the old boy network ' . James Wakefield hand selects David Allmond to be his voice and direction i feel . The silence and vagueness of the CEO is a sign that they simply don't want private investors on board and that they really want them out of the way . Maybe they want to take this SP down to 40-50p so they can scoop up most of the shares and make it private company again . There is clearly a hidden agenda with James wakefield. David Allmond has done nothing to substantiate his salad presentation and its been all fancy corporate diagrams and charts to impress his salad . If you are a company wanting to be mid cap , you would want to promote yourself and support your investors .

The board at Novacyt are dishonest unless proven otherwise .

Thanks madskill , I will watch now as I was working all day in clinic yesterday.... that James Wakefield does send me to sleep just listening to him so will try and stay awake. For god sake what does James Wakefield bring to Novacyt apart from taking huge salary .

Kaeren, I agree totally , Graham Mullis was a huge factor for stagnating Novacyt. What did he do between November 2020 to October 18th 2021 to maximise Novacyt revenue in Covid-19 diagnostic market. As far as I am concerned Graham Mullis stopped as soon as he achieved his LTIP , his £10M , and that period November 2020 to October 2021 was him just waiting to be shipped out. Then DA came in , a newbie in diagnostic testing , and is still taking a good year to feel around the job . He too has done absolutely nothing to reverse the downward spiral of SP.

The need for covid-19 diagnostic testing is escalating in USA , which just proves David Allmond's strategy was wrong . Now that we have this spit LFT which is CE credited , this surely needs to be marketed correctly to reach those top brass that will spend millions on simple fast accurate results. I still feel the saliva LFT will bring a big massive contract. ( is this not what Graham Mullis said in 2021 that they are confident of huge revenue from this LFT )

I think DA got his strategy wrong . He should have invested more priority for USA market because the need for covid-19 is escalating and just look at Abbott diagnostic they are mopping up billions of revenue from USA market

When do the LTIP mature for these Novacyt directors ? I guess this is how long we need to wait before they wake up and become interested in private investors ,unless they are very content with picking up their huge salaries every year and burning down the company cash .

I am really disappointed that the directors have awarded themselves a pay rise . You look at NHS works that work front line doing night shifts , weekend shifts and we don't get a pay rise to the level of what these Novacyt directors have got . Really shameful

Apart from mullis the others just bought very low volume , probably told by mullis to buy to push the SP for his bonus

James Wakefield is a specialist in equity matters and runs a number of firms involved in equity to my knowledge . Surely , there has to be some conflict of interest with him being at Novacyt and he should really not be chairman at Novacyt . Maybe its him thats dictating things with what information can and cannot be released and he wants to keep the SP has low as possible . He did after all go and buy 7000 shares cheap few weeks ago .

I like to know how many shares Larry10 is invested in Novacyt as he is the main guy on here with research material on Novacyt and promoting them . Whats your 'skin' in the game Larry ? , just my curiosity thats all as I think you can do a better job than that James Wakefield .

The BOD knew the results of the resolutions well before the AGM today . They were not panicking about any results . They were just going through the motions to be frank . In 2020 at AGM it was all about striving to be a mid cap company . Now we hear nothing about them striving to achieve this . The BODs are simply just picking up their fat salaries every year and will walk away regardless of where the company is 'growing ' .

How do we get proof of the votes and know that they have not been rigged . I am astonished they get a pay rise despite SP 90+ % down from peak . Almost all PI are losing money with this share and yet the BOD are getting a pay rise and we are talking about 100s of thousands of pounds here increase. Ridiculous really and so corrupt . The BOD are shameless and should hold their heads in shame . James Wakefield is the one running the show at Novacyt , he is the ultimate boss and when he talks its like a slow playing tape recorder , someone who is simply not dynamic at all . I cannot imagine what he brings to the company to move it to mid cap . He needs to go !

Kaeren I think the chairman runs the show at Novacyt . This perhaps explains why the CEO is quiet and a ' salad ' , which means he will most definitely be ratified as he is doing what is instructed by James Wakefield .

What we don't need is the BOD doing absulutely nothing to improve the SP , and not investing in solid M&A to generate regular established income . We also don't want the BOD draining the cash reserves by giving themselves pay rises / bonuses without it correlating to increase in SP.. The worse scenario is that this BOD burn the cash down over the years and waste it all.

Babyhuey , it's paper loss as it stands of around £535K . I invested my savings . I had been looking to invest in a company that had huge potential in the future. I still believe Novacyt can become that multi billion pound company. All it needs is good solid business people at board level with knowledge/ skill / contacts / & focused clear goals in creating a multibillion pound company. What we don't want is the CEO / CFO / chairman having their own agenda and selling the company off cheap and destroying private investors.

P100 to answer your question . I invested in Novacyt way back in October 2020 as i saw a company that had huge potential growth and would develop from a small penny share company to a mid cap multibillion pound company . I was impressed with how good they were in the R&D in developing brilliant diagnostic tests . I am in the medical field so know how good the R&D is within Novacyt . This is why i invested some of my money in Novacyt ( for some people i know its huge amounts ) . But i did not realise at the time Graham Mullis had his own agenda at the time and was pushing to get his bonuses from his LTIP . I got fooled like most people on here . I thought my investment in this company would be solid . Oh well , i will have to wait as long as it needs to i guess . My bad luck as they say !
