I suspect the whole of Europe & UK will start screening flights coming back from China , but people tend to take multiple flights when getting to end destination and so all international Airports in UK will require PCR testing i think .

Potential contracts for Novacyt if UK require PCR testing at airports for incoming China flights . We are positioned well to provide this tests .

China are expecting possibly over 1 million deaths from covid-19 as predicted by data. Their vaccination programme and covid testing have been poor . This is where Novacyt should be pitching their covid-19 products and making some deals with China . TATA MD are their distributors in Asia and would have some contacts within China.

PCR is far more accurate than these Chinese LFTs which are out there in circulation in UK .

What we needed was Novacyt LFTs / & winterplex to have been rolled out this winter to use by the government .

Its obvious we won no big contracts for our winterplex . Again really shocking as flu is on the up this winter

Its shocking how long its taken to get the two Covid-19 LFT approved in UK . We would have generated huge revenues with the two rapid LFTs as people are still using LFTs to test for covid-19 rather than going for PCR , and i see huge numbers of patients who tell me their LFTs are negative for covid but have flu like illness . I end up telling them to go and get the PCR test done as its more reliable .

Its a pity and real shame Novacyt never capitalized on LFT revenue , its something i think Graham Mullis lost us huge contracts as he took his focus off where exactly the big money was in the UK . The compant stagnated from December 2020 ever since Graham Mullis got his LTIP in November 2020 .

'cash is king ' so Novacyt could :

1. keep the cash in bank and gain £7M+ annual interest
2. buy companies very cheap that will generate solid revenue every year

no need for placing , novacyt have £100M currently and after DHSC dispute win they will have around £180-200M in the bank

KilkennyTed , the common denominator with Yourgene & Novacyt is that both were / are silent to their share holders and in Yourgene we see they trash their shareholders today

Well well well could this be a money spinner for Novacyt with its strong connection to TATA MD . Big contracts to win in India & China as Covid-19 IS on the rise and this will wave across to middle east , and Europe with due course.

There is no reason why Novacyt cannot win a big contract for covid-19 products in China . China don't seem to have quality covid vaccines or quality testing . Novacyt really need to get their sales force on the dismal situation in China. This is where you need leadership and strong sales team to close some deals.
