L2, so they have 52% conditional funding ($240m) for Sonora. Zinnwald, god knows what they need for funding since the feasibility study will not be completed till Q2 2019.

It has taken ages to get this $240m so how long for them to get the next $260m? The value of Sonora is only $1.25b according to the RNS I read (potential of $3.4b unconfirmed I think?). Is this a good investment?

Have a look at your posts over the past few weeks. They mean nothing. "If the share price does X then expect Y". Nothing you have said is useful or of interest to investors. The share price often does both what you have said and then the opposite (or the other way around) so I do honestly wonder why you bother with your posts (unless you have amnesia).

This share will go up and down like a Yo-yo until firm news is received. As far as I'm concerned, any price between 7 and 15 pence is nothing to care about. Outside that range, and something noteworthy will have happened.

Nothing to see here... move along.

Why would you invest in this share? PS has specialised recently in vague Twitter big-ups but actions speak louder than words.

Simply paying Citigroup to find funding is not a big confidence provider. For me this is still not a sensible purchase, and is looking to me more like a lottery ticket than anything else. It has potential, but I am serious doubt that the funding will come.

I'm sticking with a 40p price target as I proposed on 6th November.

If you contact your stock broker you should be able to get a proxy certificate to attend the AGM (i.e. even if your shares are held in a nominee account). It is on 19th December, no idea where - London presumably - and I very much look forward to pumping the enigmatic Ms. Legge for information. The recent options release (oo-er) is the big topic for me.

Another thing to remember is.... let's hope this product actually gets through trials successfully as it could genuinely help people in need, particularly young uns who nowadays seem to be getting cancer more frequently and deserve a longer life.

Chartist2, may I ask how you know these detailed things about barriers to be broken through and such like? Is it based on the previous share price jumps that you base your estimates or is one able to pay for the legendary level 3 (?) knowledge? Thanks for informing a newbie.

Chaps, I have not invested in BCN yet due to the reasons well put across by bandit1 but I couldn't help wonder - are there any examples that come to mind (I'm asking the more seasoned investors here) of companies like BCN with great potential but debatable management that have either crashed and burned, or flown high? Cheers.

Good point. I've noticed for some AIM shares I get direct communications in letter form so presumably my broker has decided not to bother with a nominee account. In others I've received nothing so presumably that is nominee. Damn shame I won't be allowed to attend the AGM then.

Hate to say it, but I am coming around to the idea of voting for the options. It's become a vote of confidence in NM, and I have full confidence in him even though the options - on the face of it - seem a bad idea.

I have unfiltered you now as you have brought up an interesting stock. I have spent too much time recently reading up on SOLG/BCN so will have a look at N4P, but I think picking Christmas as a time for the price to rise is very arbitrary, and you don't encourage participation by using betting terms to describe share price rises!!!

He sort of had a point even if it was really badly put across. He mentioned Rio Blanco (a mine in Peru having problems with legal stuff) and Kofan. The latter is more interesting as it is an Ecuadorian region that has had numerous mining licences nullified because of mining on native's land.

As far as I know, SOLG is not affected by these nullifications, and in addition I think us long termers are aware that NM treats the locals very well indeed and not just through options (still on the fence on that one) and community outreach programmes.

This thread has thoroughly confused me.... in the RNS it says "exercisable at 60p for a 3 year period" - *for* not *after*.

So the options can be exercised any time between now and in 3 years (I realise in the UK it's often the case that the 3 years means the point at which you can exercise them).

Now, regarding whether they are new shares or not, I've never known a case of options not to be diluting of the ordinary shares. The langauge of the RNS reaffirms this "total ordinary shares.... together with ..... options". So basically everyone should vote against this at the December AGM (where we'll hopefully meet the delightful Ms. Legge by name...).

IMO, no. There will be another tail off to about 40 I reckon. Can't have a magical rise without reason.
