I agree that a certain amount of money is required to liberate a lot more money in the form of lithium, though I wish PS had given solid figures instead of optional percentages.
e.g. If it had been this: "GFL are investing $210m in Sonora which leaves $40m left to finance" - if they had said this I would be more convinced. I realise PS isn't the best PR man though so maybe that's what he was trying to say...

I'm with TBTT. 22.5% of Sonora has been given away for very little. The 50% mentioned is only an option that has been given to GFL and not a certainty.

PS has only raised £22m (private placement + project level investment), 30% of the company has been given away and we have roughly $390m to go for funding!!!

Watching the presentation, the only thing I got out of it was that Mr. Secker's body language was identical to every other presentation where there has been no change at all in terms of investment strategy. I am watching this share closely though.

I am guessing that Lumsden is enjoying a decent salary instead of shares. He certainly will be banned from buying shares while this market sensitive information is in his hands.

Glad someone looked at my charts, although sadly inconclusive (apart from it being a case that post-Christmas the number of approvals always drops a bit). I have been chatting to the FDA CDER SBIA department about getting a list of CRLs by month but all they said was:

Well hanibal, IMO (inexperienced opinion...) I would say there *might* be less revenue if the warnings are strict*er* than vancomycin. Thing is, the prescribing doctors are going to always go for Iclaprim above Vancomycin for a given patient due to less risk of kidney damage, and better performance than Vancomycin (at least in the near term) due to reduced antibiotic resistance:

Ian.B, potentially his arrogance (?) in assuming he would get approval may have carried across to the FDA bureaucrats in the meeting and put them off approval? I know that is unprofessional but stranger things have happened.

There is no doubt that he will have been much humbler at the recent CRL meeting.

All the facts on paper point to this drug being approved. On the off chance it doesn't get approved, I really really would want to know why it doesn't get approved when vancomycin has been. I think it will be a minor scandal if this does happen.

I'd been wondering for a while whether the FDA shut down affected approvals of new drugs and had been flummoxed for a while with my Google skills not finding anything. Well, today I found the relevant FDA page and some evidence to support the theory:

We see the FDA approved twice as many new drugs in Feb 2018 than 2019 (16 vs 9). The government shutdown lasted for roughly all of January. Food for thought.

I think you're right Mazik. The doom and gloom overtones of his RNS was counterproductive in the short term when the set back IMO is more of a hiccup than a critical failure for the company. Though of course, maybe there were some near term reasons why he wanted the RNS to sound so bad... one can only speculate.

PhilBanks, I set a limit order at £3.30 (live price showing at £3.10) however it still has not been filled 10 minutes later. Thanks for the tip though. I'm hoping this will go through soon. Maybe I should have put £3.50 as my limit buy?

Has trading been suspended do you think or some other "extraordinary event"?

I would like to hold long term, I would, but ultimately PS is devoid of comms as usual and until he can show some hints of management I'm not convinced.

The only hard evidence of something moving forward that I've seen has been the job adverts at Deutsche Lithium. I don't really care too much about the Southern Copper rumours though the Hanwa loan matching the required funding for Sonora was very intriguing I have to admit.
