As a BOU lurker, thanks for asking all your questions Neonicotinoid. I actually understood most of what you were asking especially the basic questions about how the value in a RTO magically appears (I have read so many definitions of RTOs and still don't quite get them myself).

I don't see your questions as deramping and find them much more interesting than the blind excitement and spamming of Blutonyblu who IMO is not as logical and concise with his posts (leading me to trust them less). Please keep your questions up!

Only difference for me was I bought MTFB _after_ the fall.

I think it would royally piss off the massive number of locals who are being invested in by SOLG (97% of the 450 employees) and paid an excellent salary. No offence to Ecuador, but I have seen the SOLG brochure and the views aren't exactly amazing. It's sort of hilly scrubland.

Good luck making money from a campsite or two here and there compared to all that gold/copper. Aren't they intending to mine using block caving anyway which has much less impact than open cast mining?

I'll say it again. Having a professional deramper such as SP250 on this board is for me one of the biggest signs that MTFB is going to succeed. I would not pay someone to deramp unless I was certain the share would rocket and wanted cheap shares. I've had him filtered out for the past week or two and I suggest you do the same.

I think SOLG's community spirit of investing locally and using local labour surely makes it a very friendly employed and unlikely to suffer as a result, even without the aforementioned governmental reassurance.

Couldn't agree more. Having a professional troll on board in order to assist in spreading discontent with the share is one of the biggest positive signs for this share.

Just filter him out and your life will become more productive and less stressful. Remember: don't feed the professional troll!

Sorry about the last confused post. I realise $1.25bn is Sonora's value while $450m is what PS needs to liberate that NPV and GFL is aiming to reduce that $450m figure.

But then, what is the £7m for? Why did PS not say it was a down payment of the total of $282m?

I realise GFL are expecting to reduce project costs but 22.5% of $450m is £80m.

So am I to understand that GFL are going to bring project costs down by a factor of 80/7 = 11?

tomcat-14, that is what I read into the RNS as well. GFL pays £7m and gets to have 22.5% of the NPV, i.e. $282m

But that sounds crazy and clearly PS will not have given it away for that. If only he could be more clear in his comms.

No news has been released about the results from the CRL. The AGM is tomorrow at 1pm. Is that a lame deramp attempt?

Let's not forget the last time AMP sold a load of shares on 14th and 19th March (RNSs released at 7am the next day) just before MTFB rose 70% on 20th March.

If AMP's genius skills at timing their selling are anything to go by, we are due a massive rise any day now. ;-)

Just been over at the AMP board and it looks like AMP are in epic debt (£16m?) and hedging their bets by flogging MTFB. I would have held on to them myself. They haven't even sold all their shares so no idea what they are thinking other than they are selling the bare minimum they have to to service their debt.

Where does it say that GFL is funding $126m of Sonora?

All I read was they are paying BCN £7.5m to get 22.5% ownership of Sonora. Confused...

Mine and some others' prediction was an RNS _before_ the AGM. This would make sense to allow discussion at the AGM.

The more cynical viewpoint was that they would try to get the AGM in before the results to avoid awkward questions in case of a failed FDA appeal.

I am in long on this as I think all things considered that Iclaprim is a better product than the incumbent and deals with the pressing concern of antibiotic resistance.

Honestly, this is the opposite of a slow motion train crash (whatever that is) IMO. We have one deal sorted, many more left to negotiate, plus the BoD is s**t hot and we have clinical trial results which despite the teeny tiny cohort are absolutely amazing and unprecedented.

Each new deal will push the share price up. Unless there are some unforeseen super-nasty side effects of this treatment I can't see this going wrong.
