Bermudashorts, thanks for your clarity re Covidity being in development pre Redmile funding. After so long...timescales get blurred .
Covidity,Immunobody, Mabs, and Moditope....Guess they all proved attractive to Redmile and potentially any one could return multiples of their investment.
Burmuda..why do u think Redmile didn't ask for a seat on the Board having invested such an transformational amount ?

LD et al must have been very confident of Covidity working to spend both the time, effort and money on the project.....and perhaps most importantly to interrupt the work on the ongoing pipeline. The uk grant can't have covered the cost involved so far.
I wonder about the "strings attached" to the Redmile money. Was it a blank cheque ....or did SCLP have to run Covidity past Redmile . Although it may fall under "immunobody" Covidity was certainly from the left field as it were. Was it as much of a surpriseto Redmile as it was to both us and the market.
Guess none of us know the relationship between the two parties ...or the fact Redmile didn't insist on having a seat on the board really does mean SCLP total freedom to decide on such a strategic deviation . If this is the case then what confidence Redmile must have had in SCLP to write such a huge blank cheque to a small UK biotechnology research outfit.

Scousemark, indeed currently if we achieve 50 p and make a pound that would be fantastic. We got to 26 odd pence after SCLP announced plans for a vaccine... so if Covidity is successful in trial then we should at least get back to that region and partnership to 50 p ??
Modi would hopefully start the journey to £1 plus... and then we have the antibodies Marcus keeps posting multi million deals for. So yes , if all goes well then 25p / 50p and £1 plus are all achieavable targets.
So with Covidity being in trial 11 weeks short of a YEAR its fingers crossed for the first leg up to 25 p.

Kashdog, yes ..I've just looked at the clinical trial section of the UCT Web page and under recent updates the Covidity trial is seeking recruitment. I do however think Chester is correct to say that (hopefully) the initial 22 will have been dosed and data to follow ..soon .
It really goes to show the difference between a large pharma / bio company that has enormous resources and small ones like SCLP....
Partnership would make such a significant difference to SCLPs trials. This said.. SCLP is doing well , funded, ..a small bio with 4 trials running !! ... and data will hopefully open the door to partners.

It seams incredible that in around 11 weeks it will be a year since FPD. Has enough data been produced to draw a conclusion...to publish ? ..to entice a pharma to partner /walk away ?
All quiet from Scancell..we certainly know the trial continues , so no adverse effects..all down to the effectiveness against varients compared to vaccines produced by "corporate pharma" .

Despite watertight ships..there's always a potential leak. Seen many shares rise the day before and " surprisingly" news the following day.
As always, time will tell.

Chester, re your 17:03 post....agree..even without an RNS the balance does seam to be favour of a good outcome . Keeping an eye on the Modi-1 trial centers...why open more if the initial results are poor.

Chester and Ivy, both great posts. I agree with Ivy the first data released from whatever platform will either kill or revive the SP...guess we all know that.
12/13 is pretty unbelievable at the moment but perhaps Ivy's post helps to explain alittle why we are at this level.

Very similar to waiting for an oil exploration company to announce drill results ...the result of which the future of the company depends upon. At least we have multiple shots at goal but if the first don't hit the mark its all about how low we go and the resulting recovery if we score. This is why is disappointing we fell from the 22 p level as the comfort "buffer" has gone.
The rewards could be amazing and with such low interest rates etc....the risk is worth it in my opinion.

We.. the shareholders OWN the company along with Redmile, Vulps etc....
Sclp can't simply spun off assets that OUR money via placings etc has developed...and list them in the USA and expect us to then buy these back .

Chester, I don't think Edinburgh was on the original "list" . I appreciate that it's very early doors but any serious reactions and SCLP would stop recruiting?? So hopefully all is going well with the first patient and for all we know there may be further patients in trial.

Next week it will be a month since FPD , keeping an eye on recruitment centers may give us an idea of success? I consider no news is good news in relation to immediate adverse reactions.
