So why don't CEPI back Scancell ?

Certainly plenty of deals around and Marcus has posted quite afew over the past few months...both encouraging and slightly depressing... will any of SCLPs current 4 collaborations on maBs transform into a deal(s)
How ready and willing are SCLP to deal. We have been told that they have turned down 2 and the reason is to enhance value . Again, this is both encouraging and depressing as the share price declines. The pharmas turned down obviously dont want the product enough to make a bid for SCLP. We sit at around £100m so even at a premium to 13p.... small change to many pharma companies. Look at the offers made -as posted by Marcus- and just consider not only would the interested party get the maBs but everything else thrown in for "free". Perhaps the collaborative agreements were with small cap pharmaceutical companies, BioNtec aside, who genuinely could not afford to bid and walked away? Perhaps the offers were not from the current collaboration companies who are yet to show their hand. Perhaps we will get a bid?

Either way ...with such amazing potential and current trials in progress I simply can't understand either our declining market cap and why a speculative bid approach isn't made ...... 13p.... defies all logic.

Max, for SCLP to continue with the Covidity trial and change the SA trial to a "booster trial" one would think that there must be some positive /promising data already.
Why doesn't sclp publish what they have observed so far. May be incomplete but at least it would get the vaccine noticed and perhaps bring in a pharma or government backing. It's becoming a competitive market and the need is becoming more evident for 2nd gen vaccines.
I know its not sclps style to blow their own trumpet... but now is the time in my opinion.

Scancell has 4 collaboration agreements if memory serves correct. Certainly one is with BioNtech, one far east pharmaceutical? and 2 European pharmas....so yes , fingers crossed for a deal. The timeliness should hopefully be about correct for evaluation depending on the affect of covid etc.
In regards to Covidity...certainly will be in demand if we can link with a major pharma and a healthy share price to follow !

I don't see what is bearish pointing out we are a perfect fit for Biontech. I also don't think any news from SCLP is on the near horizon and therfore the SP may retreat. I also know that any positive news will transform SCLP. I really don't follow what you are insinuating about me.

Iofas, "stuck on 13" ....with no news from SCLP on the near horizon I think we will be lucky if we stick at 13.

A quick look at those slides makes you realise Biontech are a top biotechnology company and what they have achieved over two decades....and the growth in share price!!

SCLP looks such a perfect fit for Biontech and we are known to then. Why they don't make an offer for SCLP I can't understand...funding certainly wouldn't be an issue. As SCLP progresses it's own pipeline we must surely become more expensive.

So no, we aren't getting any info about the Covidity trial (other than no initial side effects on the first 22 volunteers ) until "later 2022" .

Honestly , you would think that with trials up and running that there would be some life in the SP.
Perhaps with the revised Covidity trial we won't be getting any initial results any time soon after all ...and hence the abysmal share price. Surely most bio companies usually rise in expectation of results?

Stakis, I also topped up recently but at a higher price :(( Amazed we continue to drift down almost daily. So depressing.

If we take 13th of June as "the date" ...but could have been a little earlier.. then it's now 2 weeks since FPD with Moditope. Guess at this very early stage... no news is good news in relation to immediate dire side affects. I know its early to assume but I'm taking it as a positive.

So much potential and we now slip below 14 on the bid...incredible. AB, has made some very good points this morning.
SCLP won't change, why bring back CH and not seek fresh talent? Anyway, one can only hope the large pharmaceutical companies have "scouts" and irrespective of who is on the board of SCLP will make a bid /deal for the Company or one of the products. Redmile will then hopefully become involved in the negotiations to achieve the best deal. For now SCLP remains a research biotechnology outfit developing amazing products... let's hope the data gets SCLP noticed . For all our long suffering it can only be another few years : ))

I would like to know the potential timescale of when we could expect a FPD with this treatment. How close are SCLP to approval from the regulator etc etc..
If it wont be "ready" for awhile , and re-reading the RNS i think its far from being ready...then why announce their intentions today? What message is SCLP sending . Communication with shareholders isn't a strong point so I can't think why we have been told today's news when FPD is potentially so far away.

Any reason Redmile don't have any formal representation on the Board of SCLP considering their investment? Would it make any shareholders feel more comfortable re strategic direction etc?
I guess Redmile are happy with how things are progressing....so we can only sit back and await data.

Dalester, it's a fine line...at some point SCLP will have to do a deal. Although value may be enhanced on one product by continued development...it may create greater value across the remaining pipeline if SCLP can prove they are able to seal a deal. I do think many are getting tired of NDAs , collaborations etc etc and want to see a completed deal . As ever ..I think Redmile hold all the cards and it's up to them. LD must be giving them a good reason not to realise value at this stage.

TF, it's quite sobering really. I remember my grandparents and my parents are dead : ( and when I snuff it ...there will be nobody alive that will remember my grandparents. Simply dusty old photos. Dead, buried and forgotten in 2 generations. So be as happy in life as you can and be kind.
