So... Scancell can't recruit 40 volunteers out of a population of 60 million during a pandemic !! Everything about this SA trial demands questions. I bet if they had held it in the UK and blitzed a university for recruitment they would have had no issues.
Only 1 patient that we know of on the SCIB trial and Modi1 not yet even started . SCLP need to get their act together and either bring in new talent capable of the job...or outsource their trials to a competent outfit. At this rate I bet the options granted to LD and RG for July next year will either need a revised strike price or an extention.
My fear has always been that SCLP would not have the ability to develop the science , let's hope Redmile has also had enough and takes action to sort this out.

If a promising biotech cant get 40 people out of a population of 60 million to take part in a Covid trial during a pandemic, or to announce a trial was imminent....and almost six months later no FPD , or running a trial with only 1 patient recruited ...after how long has it been ? ...I think I too would keep "radio silence" so as not to be noticed : ))

Hi all, who is accountable for the management of trials at SCLP? It's not clear from the "Directors /Management " section of their website. Other than the tremendously positive increase in centres for Modi1 .... everything else is just one big question mark. As Max says... what's happening with SCIB, are we really still only at 1 patient.
Covidity.... we must have reached 40 pts by now especially after the trial redesign .If not then surely the trial design / recruitment criteria- even after redesign- must surely be flawed. Was South Africa really the right choice??
Modi1...another 4 odd weeks and we will be in H2 with no first patient dosed. Surely these patients must be desperate for a lifeline. Again is the criteria just too selective ?

This was / is to be the transformational year. After next month, half way through...perhaps next year then.

As we stand at 12p following a steady decline i would think this is all related to the past offerings etc. Surely the board ...and with Redmile /Vulps "protecting" their investment and with the corporate experience of both Redmile / Vulps...they don't need at this stage to reach out to a one man consultancy firm. If there was anything afoot we would not be at 12p.

With the potential Covidity readout from the initial 16 pts expected shortly (hopefully)... one would have thought that there would have been some speculative rise in the share price into the results. All we do is drift down : ((

I think loyal shareholders who have kept the lights on over the years just need to realise we are no longer needed ...we served our purpose. Redmile came along and SCLP only need to keep Redmile and Vulps informed of non RNS progress / plans etc.
That said .. the info on the website re development and plans is pretty clear for all to see. We just need some success in trials: Initial Covidity results could be soon and although glacial progress ...Modi1 is technically in trial as is SCIB.

Reading that reminder it does make you wonder why SCLP hasn't had an offer that they couldn't refuse. Everything SCLP has to offer in its growing portfolio....on sale at 12 odd pence, ...absolutely incredible!!! Perhaps Redmile are blocking offers as they ,like us , know massive rewards are available with positive data.

Hi TF, although Redmile has given Scancell a "blank cheque" and have a history of being a supportive investor ....after all.. they haven't even insisted on parachuting in a board member ..so one can hopefully assume day to day decisions are in the hands of SCLP. That said, I'm also sure they control the strategy long term and as small fry we as shareholders will just have to see what plays out. Personally I did think SCLP would be hovering around 50 pence by now :(

Indeed... so far very good at long, long, long term collaboration agreements. With luck on of these may lead to a deal with an income stream and or an upfront payment. Then we have Covidity and Modi in trial that will hopefully get some interest. All depends on what Redmile want I guess.

Hopefully not too long for some initial results . Hope SCLP shares any data unless they intend to wait until the trial ends .

Bermuda, in the link attached to your post... if you open the link and scroll down you get to ACTUAL STUDY START DATE : it states the 7th of April 2022. There's an information icon attached to start date. Tap on it and it states : The actual date on which the first participant was enrolled in a clinical study. Is this first patient dosed then ????

Chester....the scilence is certainly deafening!! Nothing from SCLP to support the daily drift down. I guess we just need to wait for Covidity results or for this elusive first patient dosed Moditope RNS...hopefully in H1 for both.

Hasiba, these tiny daily falls are depressing . In your opinion do you reckon support has been reached @12:50 until fresh news is released?

If he was talking about SCIB1 in 2011... then what an awful shame we are ELEVEN years along the line and SCIB isn't an established therapy. Improvements in SCIB may have been achieved in these 11 years but it's still a potential waste of so many lives. Not saying it's SCLPs fault .. perhaps it's just the system that promising therapies aren't fast tracked.

Is been 7 months plus since the first patient was dosed with Covidity. As the trial continues we can assume that there's no safety issues, I do wonder if SCLP will have a rough idea by now if the end expectations will / are being met. Recruitment was an issue as we all know but the early ( ? 16) patients must be providing data by now .

13pence has been the support of late.
