As we know Covidity results are literally due any day !! If we have no RNS re Covidity results by the 25th then it will be very interesting what is said about it in the interims. Scancell can hardly say ...."looking to partner etc....." and then follow afew days or a week or 2 later (at most ?) with an RNS saying it failed to meet the end objectives. Surely, that would not reflect well . I'm anxious any Covidity results -if it's a mixed bag doesn't take the shine off Moditope. Of course Covidity may be outstanding !! Will we get the strongest hint either way in the interim statement???

Chester, having just looked . ...the 30th and 31st are working days ...so no reason not to post the interims on one of these days. Your theory may have some ground. Fingers crossed.

Thanks to all for the feedback re my Covidity comment. I do feel SCLP sometimes fail to take opportunity to highlight the brilliant portfolio that they have.

Bobust, I don't hold but this write up on the company is very positive and perhaps explains why they are x2 our market capital.
Of interest to Scancell shareholders is the section in the article on pharma takeovers and the prices being paid.
I'm sure Scancell will achieve our desired aim...
I do worry however Scancell will combine a very positive Moditope RNS with an RNS about Covidity that may muddy the waters.

Lofas, that is an excellent point. Whoever may bid for Scancell will need the support from Redmile.

In the brilliant article LD says :
"Biopsies from this patient are due to be analysed to confirm the presence and activity of immune cells. "
I wonder how recent the quote is as I'm sure Scancell will/may want this data to be included in the next Moditope update RNS ??? From the statement we can infere that the biopsy has been taken but as yet not analysed. I have no idea how long this would take but days not weeks I would guess.

Allan, yes it's true that there's a collaboration agreement as per the Jan 2018 RNS but we have had no updates re this ...yet .

"Under the terms of the agreement, Scancell and BioNTech will enter into an initial research collaboration to discover and characterise T cell receptors specific for citrullinated epitopes from vimentin and enolase. These epitopes form the basis of Scancell's first Moditope® development candidate, Modi-1. Upon completion of these studies, BioNTech will have the exclusive option to enter into a licence agreement for the development of cell receptor based therapeutics that are specific to Modi-1 epitopes."

Burble, Wild , so why did the UK Gov partner with BioNtec and not Scancell? Is it simply that the power of lobbying and reputation is greater than the evidence of science??

Re my last post, LD was reluctant to reveal the upfront payment as I believe she indicated it set a bar for other ongoing negotiations .... so if the interim results are around the 26 th then she doesn't have long to conclude another transformational deal ???

Last year the interim results were on the 26th of Jan. Can we expect roughly the same for this year ? and will they reveal the upfront payment from Genmab ..I recall LD said that the payment would be in the interim results ?

Covidity, 40 patients over one year won't hail the universal vaccine at this stage .

Wonder how it works...Will a pharma company have already agreed to partner with Covidity (pending good results) and signed a NDA etc. ..or
will Scancell publish results and wait for the phone to ring and accept the highest offer?
Guess an RNS indicating good results plus partnership would be far more positive ?
