Chester, Crumbs.... you may be correct and Scancell know where the next round of funding is going to come from . Scancell have held proactive interviews etc in the recent past. Very strange nothing post Covidity / Genmab deal....alternatively, back to the question this morning : why doesn't Scancell get backed by the UK government ? It would be help if Scancell promoted themselves more and made the most of every excellent development irrespective of whether they have a funding plan or not.

Crumbs, totally agree with your post this am re gov support . BioNtec started off as a small company just like Scancell and look what they have achieved. As well as the science BioNtec must have had excellent management and PR ...something sclp has always lacked. Why not RNS the patents and attending the US conference for example? Hopefully this will change .

If a major pharma was interested in any of Scancell’s platforms , then now must be the optimum time to decide.... and declare a bid before any rivals, particularly with the Moditope platform showing early success... it's only going to get potentially more expensive in the long run . Scancell’s intellectual property may be accelerating ahead but the share price is in steady reverse at the moment. Perhaps a bid is being structured as I write, if not, I fail to understand why especially as our market capital falls day in day out and the major pharmas are sitting on huge cash piles. Why take the risk of paying more later unless Scancell's platforms don't fit into any major pharmas development plans. I would find it odd if that was the case, so just a waiting game perhaps ? I do worry as both our market value and working capital declines our negotiating position becomes weaker daily.

Chippyjo, i guess what you say in your last post is correct. Sclp has plenty of instutional support with both Redmile and Vulps in the wings. Both have completed their due diligence.....liked what they saw and backed this up with considerable funding to enable SCLP to hopefully achieve a blockbuster drug(s). Like you, I don't trade sclp and have wept through the lows of sub 10 pence to the joys of recent highs. I'm gutted to see my investment fall from 28p recently but hopefully this is short term traders selling out. There is absolutely nothing to indicate sclp are not on track to deliver anything but excellent trial results.
Redmile and Vulps are holding until trial completion and then they will extract the best value for their initial investment. ... what direction that will be will be in their hands as majority holders. I will follow their lead and hold for value.

An excellent RNS and I too believe Moditope will repeat in humans what it achieved in clinic. I am sure large pharmas will be comparing today's information with what Scancell has published and had peer reviewed previously on Moditope.

BoJo, you are correct. I have slowly built up my holding over many years and to finally see a handsome profit evaporating is disheartening. I follow the sp too closely and built up my hopes too high when we were knocking at 30 pence. I think that I now need to step back stop reading this bb so frequently and looking at the sp almost hourly. I am going to treat my sclp investment as a one year fixed bond and sell up whatever in one year from now.

Berm / Wig ...I really don't know why you both continue this debate. TD have stated 33p as current value, but that's done absolutely nothing for the sp !! If they had said 100p and used a greater % for sucess I'm sure it would have made no difference either. Trish has more influence than TD : )))

Matt, 100% agree. Perhaps the new chap will sort this out. If Sclp don't hit the deadlines with Moditope the share price will continue to suffer. Its a bit out of their hands as they can't control the recruitment etc etc but they can be more proactive on the PR side to promote interest. Looking at the posts today...was a patent granted in India for Modi....and only announced on twitter??? If so , why not via an RNS for wider publicity ??
Either positive data / or another deal within 6 months ...or it's dilution time via fundraising, Sclp can't leave it to Q1 2024 . We may be valued at 33p but that's almost half of where we are today . The potential is amazing and the only reason I continue to hold.

KonarA, indeed... re Covidity..why was LD saying end of Dec for the Covidity read out and now we are half way through Feb. The data must be complete from all the trial participants when she indicated Dec ??. Are the figures being crunched internally or is it outsourced?? This delay simply adds to the ongoing perception/ fact that Scancell never meet ANY set guidelines. Look at the SP, we should have built upon the Glymab deal , not seen the gain drift away day in day out by the "Covidity " delay. Perhaps Covidity is being sold...but once again we are well off 26p !
The two current drags on the SP are Covidity and now the potential Ichor overhang and this coincides with poor investor relations .
Hopefully the new chairman can turn this around and the Moditope trial will succeed. One more year I keep saying to myself!!

It would be amazing if a deal was struck either on Covidity or the DNA platform. It would certainly breathe some life back into the SP.
I simply can't believe we are sub 20 pence with the amazing pipeline Scancell has achieved to date. There are certainly enough US pharma companies awash with cash to seal a deal.
Time...as ever ...will tell. We are just one red dot away :))

AB , I would think it's a bit like these builtin boards. While there is a core "group" there are many, many, silent participants. I think that the patients on forums like Macmillian post to not only the "group" but want to share hopes, experience and information to the silent majority.

Is it moral to post this info on financial BBs..guess it depends on personal thoughts and experiences.

Bermuda, I guess it depends if "traders" decide if Ichor are going to hold. If not, then there's a 3m overhang that needs clearing. Not a large number compared to the total in issue but in thin trading even small sales knock us down a fair bit. All depends if one's a trader or holder. Personally I don't trade SCLP as I feel a potential massive RNS will / may arrive at any day.

Chester, I would go far as to say the pending Covidity results are acting as a real drag on the SP and weighing it down. If an investor wanted in on Moditope and the Glymabs etc ...why take the risk on Covidity being a dud ? I think that we will see a marked uptake in interest post the Covidity RNS.
