It looks like Deutsche Bank might be talking sense. No point buying anymore (unless you really like to gamble) whilst the takeover bidding continues ....... no point selling either as the results were pretty good and this business is growing in both Australia and Europe. Interesting to see that Sportingbet are sponsoring The Henessey meeting at Newbury this year ... and also the Queen Mother Chase at Cheltenham ... pretty high profile sporting events ...... Definitely a hold either for a bigger, betterm takeover ... or a growing, well run, dividend paying, business. HOLD.

Or is that some form of MM signal to show the future direction of this SP. I seem to recall there was a single share purchased at around £2.10 when the share price was about £1.90 .... and ... the share price then rose, of the following few days, to £2.10 ...... perhaps this is a signal the other way ....... Either way ... this is definitely floating without direction or news at the moment and, as ManuDave points out, £1.75 is as likely as £2.00 at the moment!

Ex-dividend date is around middle of December (it was 14/12 last year so I would guess 12/12 this year) and the dividend is paid early January 2013. Dividend last year was 1.1p per share but there is speculation that the dividend is going to be raised when the results are announced later this week (Wednesday). GLA

Results due this week, dividend around the corner, William Hill looking as though they will increase the offer to around 60p if not slightly higher,Lazards banging the drum to try and get other people interested in bidding ....... I can't see any point, whatsoever, in taking the profit today. My advice ..... wait and see who bids what next .....

This is a great company with a solid dividend that will, one day, get taken over ... and shareholders will be rewarded. Will it be taken over this time ... will it be WIlliam Hill ..... will other rival bids come into play ..... who cares? The company reported a while ago that the results were in line with expectation - this had a positive impact on the sp - and the dividend is due soon as well. I can't see why anyone would want to sell these at the moment ...... although I was a bit shaken to learn that Buzle had sold out ... as he has been a long term champion of these shares! GLA

and wait to see what happens. If we are really lucky then we will see a few other bidders enter the fray in the coming weeks ..... if we are really unlucky ... William Hill will not make a formal bid by 16/10 and the share price will drop to the low 40's again ..... even if that does happen .. others will come after this growing on-line betting business. Sit tight ..... hold tight ...... £1 per share is what we all want ......

to really get this moving ... I'm sure 70p - 80p is going to be achievable now ... but I would like a £1 (call me greedy) and that will only be achievable if Ladbrokes re-enter .... or someone else tables an offer asap ......

It's interesting how volume picked up and price took off just around the time the US started trading. This happened when we broke through 36p and rapidly reached 41p in a matter of days and was caused by bid speculation (that hasn't really gone away). I agree, with results due in mid-October (that are reported to meet in line with expectation) and a 5% dividend (if you've been holding for a while like me) then these share are heading up, up up ... and 60p+ is not beyond reach .... unless we get the bid ... in which case we could be looking at 80 - 90p per share. GLA ......

WOW ... look at the volume on this ... somethings going on ..... 2 million shares traded in the 1st 2 hours! That's more than we get in the average day isn't it? What is the next resistance line ..... 50p? Is that why everyone is buying - because of 40p support? Thoughts

I think he might be ...... this share is struggling to find direction ..... and is very tricky to trade at the moment .... and things aren't going to settle until we have a lot more clarity on the RI ... if we even need a RI ..... depending on the outcome of the tax case .... The fact is that if we were going to head towards £2.50+ ..... we would have done it by now .... especially with the FTSE looking very toppy ..... and a correction almost certainly due for late August / early September ... no doubt lining up with the next Euro summit on 6th September! DYAR ..... for the moment ... I am taking a very cautious approach to how many HOIL I buy at these prices ......

Thanks for the explanation. This is really exciting ... I've been holding for a while and topped up just before suspension and definitely intend to take up the rights issue. I'm also thinking of adding more shares tomorrow. What are others doing?

What does that mean ... "Pinks up 30%" .... what are the pinks ..... why is that significant?

See ManuDave's 12:35 post re: spreadbetmagazine blog .... that talk about the grey market price ...... No idea if it's accurate ... I don't see how it can be .... I think we are all guessing and hoping for something really positive in the morning!

So - what is a sensible valuation of HOIL when we resume trading tomorrow then? The grey market indicates 1.70ish - but what will happen when the shorter close their positions? I'm not expecting a fiver lol - but the rights issue will be based on a share price at a future, yet to be defined, date ..... so is it best if the share price remains subdued until after the rights issue date? Thoughts?

We're above the magic 31.5p, we are up on a ftse down day, there are some large buys going through. 34.5p here we come ... and with a bit of QE and an interest rate reduction ... we might even test 36p soon! GLA ... DYOR

We've seen a little pull back since last weeks rally .... although strange movement in the so spread during the last 5 minutes of trading today. LIM posted some reasonable results today and AYM own 26% of LIM .... and LIM are rallying in us trading tonight ... So ... are we heading up towards 20 - as suggested by jonc a few days ago ... or are we going back to below 12p? Thoughts from anyone?

Does that mean we are clear to test 36p now and 31.5p should now act as support? I do hope so .... because I just topped up again today .. and remain extremely bullish on this stock .... Thoughts?
