Certainly a rollercoaster ride with THG and this is a special rollercoaster (right now) that only seems to run downhill!

Yes - I guess that is the chance the shareholders take. Is it a good, well run, company?

Difficult for a PI like me to judge so I take solace from the big IIs who have all invested substantial sums at much higher prices that me.

If I'm right and it is a undervalued well run company after all - then I will make a fantastic return on my investment and if I'm wrong then I've got a tax deductible loss to carry forward!

I think - having invested sub £2 - there is a pretty good chance of me turning a substantial profit over the next 6 to 12 months.

In the meanwhile - as the other analyst said - I'm trying to ignore the noise!

Oh I would also add that the other online retailers are taking a bit of a caning today and THG is holding up quite well compared to them.

Buying good companies and holding has served Buffett well over the years so if it's good enough for Warren then it's good enough for me!

I think you play a dangerous game selling 25% in the gamble of buying it lower.

Down you win ... Up you lose ... In the immediate short term.

However - as one of the analysts said after the Numis debacle - it's rare to find good companies (like THG) with cheap share prices and things should be judged on a 3 year time frame and not a 3 month time frame.

So - for the sake of a few extra shares on a 50/50 gamble - isn't it better to buy and hold and enjoy the exponential return over a 1 or 2 or 3 year time frame?

I won't be selling but I've paused buying for now ... As everytime I buy more ... Is just before it takes another leg down.

I just think this is not a share to be dogmatic about ....

Every time we think it won't go lower ....it does ...

I wouldn't want to try and call the bottom and it might be more prudent to top up on the up slope rather than the down slope.

I've prepared myself for a £1 share price ... Planning for the worst (hopefully) and praying I'm wrong!

Looks like it's been consolidating all day and now it's ready to start the downward slide again.

We didn't even get a dead cat bounce after the latest bout of selling .....

It can't be long before total capitulation as the buyers get exhausted ... Then we might be able to commence the healing process

I would hope they would have looked at the books / sales pipeline during DD and met with the company board and gained assurances that everything was hunky dory even though the SP, by that point, would have already fallen by 66% since IPO.

Maybe they didn't do any DD?

If so - they are as big a mug as me!

I'm well invested here and the share price destruction is either City manipulation or Company fraud.

I have always thought City manipulation was what was happening but, after today's plunge, I am wondering whether my assessment is wrong.

Thing is that if I'm thinking that all is not what it seems - many other will be thinking the same.

The only thing to hold onto is the hope that the institution that bought the BR stake at the 10% discount did due diligence before their purchase.

Because ... As a PI ... How can I be sure that this company is not being run fraudulently?

I'm holding and I'll either get my money back / make a profit or have a plentiful supply of toilet tissue for 2022 as this crashes and burns.

Too many on here looking to double their money by Xmas -. Which is why the slide continues after every tree shake.

I agree with Mando that the IPO was overhyped and the real value of the company is somewhere around £2.50 ....

However with talk of spinning out beauty etc - which accounts for so much revenue - and the lack of transparency on how much Ingenuity is worth - I'm not surprised we are at these levels.

For me, if I could see £2.50 by Xmas then I would be relieved. Whether I stay invested beyond that will be based on which chairman we get and much more clarity on the plan moving forward.

I totally agree that this business has huge potential but I also question whether MM is now the right person to be taking it forward to the next stage.

And it looks like the city agrees with me!

I don't think this is going to move much until the next market update (scheduled for mid December I think I read on here).

But when she moves ... Usually on news ... She moves with a passion!

After last November's update we moved from about 25p to 50p in a matter of days ....

Then we fell back, over a period of months, then - on more good news in August 2021 - we quickly moved from 34p upt to over 50p again within a few days ...

So, we await more news having traded in the 45p to 50p range since August .... And given we haven't fallen back very far this time ... Many are optimistic we might see 60p or 70p on the next move up.

The thing about this share is don't sell too quickly when she starts moving as usually we see quite a few days of 5% or more gains before she settles again.

In fact it's been profitable, in the past, to add even more when she starts moving!

Well I've been invested for just over a week now and I must admit I've never seen such a s###show.

Like many on here, I was hoping to catch the falling knife somewhere near the bottom .... Only to stand aghast to watch Black Rock sell 58 million shares at a 10% discount and, once that dust had settled, then watch MM deliver a jaw droppingly bad interview with GQ. Was this his Gerald Rather moment? He seems to have the oratory skills of Gerald for sure!

As for next week - TBH - nothing would surprise me now.

MM clearly hasn't learned to speak the language of the City (despite a 75% share drop since the last time he spoke) and could well be punished again (with a further sell down in the share price).

It would be nice to have a week of LESS twists and turns so that things can stabilise and everyone can take stock.

I fear that this week might be more traumatic than last though ... and if I can get out of this at 'evens' then I think that would be prudent.

What do others think?

Stick, Twist or BUST?

Huge bounce in BT today just as VOD hit the £1.13 mark and,.my guess, is that quite a few traders switched from VOD into BT to try and catch the momentum bounce.

BT is massively oversold and I did the switch for a short term BT profit ...

Only time will tell (probably tomorrow) whether the decision to switch was wise or foolish.

So we closed above £1.62 ....... and hit our head on the £1.64 fibonacci line during the day too ......

So does that mean that we've broken out of the downtrend that's been in place since the end of June?

I've noticed, a couple of times over the last day or so, that whenever the share price makes a run toward £1.56 it gets hit.by a huge amount of selling as though someone is trying to keep it down ...

Happened yesterday .... happened today ... Wondered if anyone else spotted this ....

Sat waiting for the tsunami to hit now .... worrying that we won't get a tsunami as it's just that the tide has gone out and won't be coming in again!

Probably more likely that Mr D is adding rather than selling at a loss .... Maybe shorting the share down so that he can then add a load more ....

Or maybe Mr D isn't involved at all .... Without an RNS we are never going to know but ...

I don't think billionaires would want to sell at a loss as they tend to be rather attached to their money!

So the french guy paid £1.81 and Jansen hoovered up a load more at £1.63 .... yet still they fall .... below the 200 day moving average now too .....

I must admit I thought we would have heard about the BT Sport review by now ..... and things have been very quiet on that front .... although Adam Crozier joining as chairman gave me hope that ITV might rekindle their interest ...

Very concerned that the lack of news is causing it to continue to fall .....

Feels more like Capita (CPI) .... forever falling on lack of news from a quiet PR department .... rather than BT!

I've been topping up ..... but even, enthusiastic me, is becoming a bit on an exhausted buyer!

Building nicely but what news, exactly, is going to propel this strongly through 50p, then through 51.9p (52 week high) then onwards?

It seems this gasps for breath as soon as it breaches 50p.

My plan remains the same ....

Either buy at 52p when the 52 week high is convincingly breached ...

Or buy at 40p when it beats a retreat (through lack of news and momentum) .... Like it usually does!
