RE: Well I have just sold something to add more here!15 Mar 2022 18:30
I honestly don't think this is a share you can get too attached to (and decide to go 'all in) as many, including myself, have been caught out as we believed it couldn't fall below £1.65, then £1.50, then £1 and I think we might even have touched almost 75p.
On the face of it - we have a share that IPO'd at £6ish and now appears friendless at 85p ... But I think that only tells half the story.
The fact is that the founder Matt Moulding is hated by the city. The share price plummeted because of city concerns on corporate governance, golden shares, lack of chairman, lack of transparency and ... Most importantly ... Lack of profit!
Since September / October 2021, as the share price started to crater, Matt nor the board have done anything to address any of those issues .... Which is why we find ourselves friendless at 85p.
I've been averaging down but still myself marooned at £1.80 a share which, not very long ago, would be viewed as an amazing average.
Now - £1.80 looks as sick as a parrot and even if this gets taken out by PE (which is a vain hope) .... I'm going to be very lucky to see all my money back.
So, in summary, not a share for either widows or orphans and certainly not a share to go 'all in' on ...... As demonstrated by the very long line of investors (including me) who would be much wealthier if I had never heard of The Hut Group!
