COIN are showing good governance for seeking approvals. That’s excellent in the crypto world especially with some otherwise distressed companies jumping aboard to just strengthen their balance sheets. 50% treasury, 50% working capital type RNS’s!

Ii say it’s an enforced compliance issue. So surely that means TIR are in breach of some compliance but that breach only applies to some platforms and not others. Just those that pander to social media BS I guess!

I will now report ii to the FCA for imposing trading restrictions based on unconfirmed rumours and that the FCA haven’t acted universally if they are factual. This is a slippery slope as it opens up the trading platforms to sp manipulation by some entity simply posting rumours and then opening shorts on stocks. They are therefore complicit by default.

This is what happens when the likes of nanny ii try to intervene and think they are doing the best by protecting investors. Because of social media rumours!

It’s absolutely outrageous in this day of disinformation. The likelihood is now by their actions they have played into any shorters hands.

Let’s open a short and post a load of BS on social media and ii, AJB and HL will then restrict trading thereby giving credibility to the malicious disinformation!

So now by trying to save investors money they have cost many money!

TAO are doing well because they are taking 20% of the owners subnet trading. They can theoretically upscale more.

But they are sill 4x behind TIR and TIR have other plays.

I would like to hold both in an ISA but nanny ii says no!

By asking if you have been coerced into trading by a telegram post and you saying no and then allowing the trade makes absolutely no difference to the source of the apparent problem.

ii imo they used to be the best trading platform but not since Abrdn have taken them over with their stupid name and stupid ideas.

The price got stuck here last Monday and a potentially contributory factor was ii not allowing auto trading. That has probably had more impact on the sp than some social media posts.

It would be good if JB got some more comms out about our new ‘real estate’ to allay any investor concerns now spooked by ii!

An attraction for me is that you get to add extra stock without paying stamp duty and trading costs on your purchase.

So if you were planning to increase your position here that makes even more sense.

However, I have to sell elsewhere now to partially fund this within my (wife’s) ISA as I understand it by the 7th July. The nil and fully paid rights shares will be ex rights and can be traded on the 8th. So if I chose to only buy some I can sell the rest of my rights shares on the 8th July. If my broker offers that facility. Which ii have in the past.

The new shares combined will have a market value of 252.98p for dealing on 23rd July at 0800.

There is a risk that the sp will go below that but imo it should stay well above the RI price and the average price of most peoples combined holdings.

A RI is a much fairer way for all investors to raise cash compared to Accelerated Book builds which may or may not be open to PI’s. Many other placings don’t allow PI’s and come with CLN’s or warrants which can be extremely dilutive. A RI is more expensive, but with the technology much less so now than it used to be and it’s a much fairer system.

As well as the company rationale for the acquisition; Given the discount, the divi outlook and that the new mcap will compel ftse250 tracker buying I intend to fully take up my rights and perhaps backfill from where I sell from later with future divi income.

Sorry not explained last point very well.

An institutional investors that looks at the mNAV of 5 against a forward forecast BTC price of $1m according to ‘maxi’s’ (BTC bulls) and thinks. This is 5 x now and that is cheap according to a 100x mNAV in say 5 years time. So they invest in the treasury play as an hedge.

Meanwhile the PI looks at the BTC price and mNAV of 5 and says that’s too expensive so doesn’t buy or buys BTC.

The difference is that the institutional investors are happy to pay a premium without to avoid the hassle of holding crypto and may also be excluded from directly buying crypto.

The PI just looks at the mNAV and doesn’t digest the current accessibility constraints on businesses or the wider macro case.

The smart PI would trade both within a balance PF.

If it’s an ISA then hold some crpto via an ETF or a treasury play and some precious metal companies. But only buy quality.

And hold some physical good and crypto as well.

Obviously most PI’s can’t achieve this balance.

Holding some gold production and adding a quality treasury stock in one’s ISA therefore makes sense.

I agree that BTC will have a place as an alternative to fiat currency.

But really I guess your point is what’s the bear case.

Well imo the 21m BTC in circulation whilst fact is a bit of a misnomer because they keep fragmenting BTC ad Infinitum. So in effect you can fragment it for ever. But nobody will point that out!

Then you have the BTC whales. These are significant holders that can dictate price. So think of the Saudi oil led cartels of the 1970’s.

Then you have the bandwagon and subsequent vulnerabilities to hacking/fraud risk.

So you now have a lot of upstarts ‘like MDH’ jumping on the treasury hype. Ok at least Nick says that he agrees with this in principle but is sensibly handing over treasury to the experts.

That’s why I back COIN.PL as a treasury play as they know their ‘onions’ in this space having worked in it for many years!

It will only take one hack or one unscrupulous director to walk with the treasury and there will be a shock to other plays!

Then there’s the quantum computing risk as a hack. But imo that is overstated as progress is slow and they still cannot control heat and vibration so it’s many years off. Plus there are QC protection algorithms emerging as quickly!

So with this view the counter argument which is pretty well publicised revolves around the depreciation of fiat currencies due to serviceable debt and trade balances.

You can see this impact as clearly in as many USD/Gold/BTC inflation rebased charts as you like.

Fiat doesn’t hold up long term. But then BTC is volatile albeit nascent atm.

That nascence is ameliorating as BTC becomes more ubiquitous! And that’s where BTC treasury comes in. And is still in its infancy!

More companies and bigger companies will soon imo be looking at BTC treasury as part of their risk management process. Think of it as an extension of FX hedging.

Businesses are already used to risk management. This is just another extension of their business contingency plans and they can flex it accordingly.

Simple as that!

But should that become an adopted best practice then that is enough to seriously raise the BTC price!

Then MDH as an early adopter in a tech space where the likes of SpaceX would flip and trade in BTC in ‘a blink’ if their USD was vulnerable is well placed.

Look ask yourselves how the likes of SWC and COIN and others are raising cash to buy BTC at mNAV multiples of 5 or even 10! It’s because they are forward managing risk and their curve sees a much much higher BTC price.

So whilst PI’s look and say you have raised cash and netted out as buying BTC on a 5x mNAV basis. So 5x your mcap compared to off the shelf price! So that’s crazy!

So the PI’s don’t buy as it’s too expensive but the institutional investors in a difficult market with a longer view and are looking for risk exposure in an inaccessible market back the nascent plays.

That’s what PI’s struggle

I am for this and even proposed a while back that hex do the same. Soon tech and medical businesses will use BTC as a trading currency. It’s logical that hi tech will be amongst the first esp given the fall in usd.

Having some treasury enables more liquidity as long as it doesn’t impact ops.

The UCHR is desperate, it’s become something now that was never intended. What about citizen rights we can and should still have them.

And yes there are no winners in war but we are faced with illegal economic immigrants rather than those from war torn counties. That’s why there is a legal process and the illegals who won’t qualify skip around it.

Of course it’s not every case. But the groups of young men in our town centers, well dressed and single, sat on their phones indicate something isn’t right.

A friend of mine, a single chap lost his job. Because he was a bloke there was no help for him. He even had to give up his phone contract as he couldn’t afford it until he got a job. Tried desperate to do the right thing. Lots of single folk overlooked and many here can’t even get a dental appt and yet others seem to get so much.

We just can’t afford it anymore and if we sort it out the UCHR will cost us. Look at the shamina Began debacle. We can’t afford to be dragging every case through the courts that’s unfortunately what it comes down to hence we may have to just leave until we sort things out.

With regards to needing the UCHR, well if you go to Dubai for example, you follow their rules. Or even Iran. Where are your rights going to get you. Many countries couldn’t care less. Yet when they come here illegally why should they get rights that they have ignored by breaking the law.

It’s all a mess but unfortunately doing nothing is no longer an answer.

For every £1 fiddled in benefits there’s around £14 and probably higher not paid it taxes. You can start there with serious fines and confiscations for those that fiddle. Atm the IR can’t be arsed but with AI now they can really get into it if there is a will.

E.g Why do Chinese takeaways often only accept cash. Compare the orders with the sales. It isn’t difficult. Then look at bob the builder the sector is notorious for cash in hand. So much can be done. Make it feel like a crime!

1 in ten are claiming a very rich Personal independent allowance and it’s not properly means tested. How does that work.

Illegals should be sent back and if that means leaving the UCHR then so be it. We can always rejoin later when folk get the message.

Then there’s taxation. Should be a staircase starting at a much higher level so that low earners don’t pay tax on say the first 17k. That incentivises work. Everyone gets that starting allowance and then you have tax bands thereafter up to 100k in gradual steps. So you raise the same overall but less lower down and bring some stability to the system. It’s been costed before.

Investment from the private sector that is (was) awash with cash into capital projects like UKcS LNG so we don’t buy from Russia. Sort our LDES out like EPP will do once the govt gets off it arse and give a license. The private sector have already offered to fund it. Then you can step up renewables.

Set up a sovereign wealth fund as a long term investment so that the exchequer gets dividend income same as Norway have done.

There is so much that can be done that isn’t left wing or right wing just common sense wing.

Doing nothing about immigration and no leadership and this country could well see civil unrest and that would be horrendously divisive.

They gotta get a grip!

What is so difficult to understand that you don’t borrow money to run your current account. You should only borrow for capex that pays back over a longer term.

It’s a bit like paying for all your shopping on Amex and then not paying it off each month as you don’t have enough income!

Now the bond markets are gonna throw a tantrum and lots of asset classes will suffer coz we can’t pay our bills!

One govt after another just doesn’t understand basic economics.

LGEN down 3.54% PHNX down 3% , LAND down 4.7% those are big moves down for FTSE100’s UK plc Companies that are sensitive to the bond markets and rates. Oh and AZN saying 🖕 London!

Borrowing on that Amex is gonna get super expensive now and there’s even less people paying taxes!
