Does anyone know what UKW gets paid to turn off or reduce output of their turbines when demand is low or too much wind?

This was published in June 2025. Seagreen, Scotland's largest wind farm, was paid £65 million last year to restrict its output 71% of the time, according to Octopus Energy

I’m not a particularly experienced investor but learning… the hard way.. over 14k under water in capital within the renewable generator sector!

I’ve been holding FGEN, BISF, NESF, ORIT, TRIG, UKW,… for a couple of years most in the red ..! just keep averaging down! so still buying and have a great dividend income.

Appreciate the positive comments, have a lot to learn from you guys.. and it is a bit of fun..

Next Ex date is forecast for 6 March 1.99p so hope to see some upward movement on the SP soon!. IMO

I cannot find any Dividend Declaration in the RNS yet anyone know any different?

CAML SP hit 300p or there abouts in 3 cycles Mar 2018/May 2021/Feb 2023.

Copper Guidance Set At 12,000 – 13,000 Tonnes for 2026 is respectable & 20mt in copper reserves 9 years life at Kounrad?

The current copper price is about 100% higher than in 2018 and over 50% higher than in 2023 or there abouts. Lead and Zinc prices are also healthy and rising.

So why is this so undervalued 195p today ? if this was to get back to the 300p again that would be about a 54% increase from today.

Understand the dividend cut and higher operation costs have had an impact on sp,

why is that strange investing here am I missing something !! ?

I’m positive looking at topping up further 7% div and potential sp upside is attractive.

Buying out of favour bottom of the barrel stocks with an uncertain future is quite difficult to do and I’m deep in the red in this renewable sector.

I did buy RR when they were out of favour and unloved and a strong Sell in at 74p in 2022!.

Consumption demand for energy over future years will only increase and the recent UK Government changes may only increase wholesale cost of electric energy over the long term. We need further investment in renewable technologies/storage to power the data centres EVs and AI of the future.

I’m still buying here as it can reap reward in future years and with a decent dividend 16%! And some upside potential…

Holding Voda for over 2 1/2 years with averaging down now up over 32 % to date with an additional 20 % return on dividends, holding for the long term could well reach 200 ! one day maybe!! Very positive with this one.

Buying on the dip.. also currently holding Ecora APF, GLEN, GPP all pushing higher with the price of metals.

Recently added more as I’m holding ORIT for the long term…a small capital gain ( hopeful ) and with 10% + dividend.

Next Ex day forecast for 12 Feb so expect so upward movement on the SP which is possible in the few weeks before going Ex.. we will see!

I’ve bought a few shares and averaged down this week, so with insider buying and with a juicy dividend ex day forecast on the 12th Feb the question is how much is the SP going to increase I’m hopeful some upward movement here in the few weeks before ex day. 6-8p possible maybe or not?

I’m holding HFEL for the long term…a small capital gain and with 10% + dividend.

Next Ex day 29 January so expect some upward movement on the SP which maybe possible in the few weeks before going Ex.. we will see!
