Hi SK. You're right. I've just had another 5k nibble at 252.5. It would have been too rude not to.
Hello Pangloss. I'm a LTH of this and add during weak periods (like now). Spread under 1% at the moment (acceptable). With a 9% yield this must be at (or near ) basement level barring market meltdown.
I couldn't agree more SK. Personally, I don't care too much about the share price as I'm not looking to sell; I'm just collecting the generous and predictable dividend. The quality of earnings is fantastic and there are only two things put me off buying more: 1 it forms quite a large portion of my portfolio already, 2 the spread is usually quite wide
It's so predictable. CSN only rises up during dividend time. The rest of the year is always down. This time seems even worse. It could drop to below 240. Think I have to set my buy order at a lower price now.
The one drawback I see is that the dividend has continued rising by just 3% a year, despite inflation being much higher over the last 3 years. I suspect that will continue if we have more high inflation in future. That's why I recently reduced my holding by 1/3, though I must admit I'm thinking of buying it back again (at a slightly lower price), as I'm having difficulty finding anything else I want to buy at the moment, especially with most other shares prices having gone up.
Given the excellent yield (maintained over many years) and proximity to years lo the current sp is a bargain
This doesn't look good at all. I have cancelled my buy order for the time being. Will wait and see how low this will go.
Because of the Middle East tension, will my buy order be filled tomorrow perhaps? 😁😁😁
Yes, I am waiting for the drop to below 260's. Already set a buying order @255. 😂😂😂
Sp, below 264.37, which is 61.2%, retracement level. Sp, is now in vicinity of previous support at 260. Sector is falling today and also below the 1/3/24 time pivot low. DYOR.
Sold @282.75, now will wait for the drop. Hope that it will fall back to under £2.60 again in the next few months. So, I'll see you all soon. Good luck everyone and have a nice day.
So far so good, just two more days to go before going ex-dividend. Let's see how much higher can this go then. Would be wonderful if it can get to near £3.😂😂😂
Good evening everyone and good luck.🤞🤞
Thanks a lot mate.
Well, this is what I like about CSN. It's so predictable. It bucks the market downtrend today. Turns blue from a substantial losses earlier this morning.
Way to go CSN, onwards and upwards!!
Good luck!
Nice to see CSN holding today when the rest of the market is down. Relatively speaking that's an increase! I decided to pull the trigger and sell the shares I bought in early December, for a small profit. I got almost 280p. As I wanted to trim my holding anyway, I thought I'd raise some cash now, in case today's drop is the start of a correction. I think we're due for at least a small correction, even if the general trend upwards continues. I still have 5-6% of my portfolio in CSN.
Yes, that's true, if you hold CSN long term, then the SP always rises back up before going ex-dividend. But if you sell before going ex-dividend when the SP is at its high then buy back when it falls to its lowest afterwards. You can make extra gains. Of course you must time it right though.
I think I am going to try it this time. Hope that I my timing will be good. So, wish me luck.😂😂😂
Well, I won't mind too much if the share price just retraces to where it was before, so we get the dividend with no fall in share price overall!
Since I was thinking of reducing my holding a bit, I might sell some just before ex-div day.
'non' executive...
Oh yes, the no executive director did buy some shares yesterday. 😁😁😁
Indeed Yes
The NED bought 10000 outright yesterday did she not senitdoneit
Rises before going ex-dividend. Let's see how high can it go this time before retracing then. Good luck everyone.
No, the CEO didn't buy those shares. They were part of his pay package. Granted to him free of charge. 😂😂😂
Well that's encouraging that a non exec Director has bought not an insignificant amount of shares ..perfect good for her
Yup, this is same as last time before going ex-dividend. We probably will see over 280's, but will it be the same as last time as well, droped like a stone after going ex-dividend? I think highly likely just like before many times (or all the times), lol.
Good luck everyone and have a nice day.
Wow! As soon as I posted that it jumped to 275p. That's probably a buy price and it'll soon snap back to the sell price. Still, it's a good sign.
Nice to see a modest rise in share price. It touched 270p today, the first time I've seen that price for a while. I'm still slightly underwater, not counting dividends. I don't usually care that much about the share price, as I'm holding for the dividends, but I thought I might sell a few shares if it goes higher, as I overdid it a bit, at 8% of my portfolio.
