In light of these future yet permanent changes I should imagine that JC will produce a video and set out where CC stands regarding existing ans new contracts.

I note the CTO saying that ideally he would like to see a HAT covering 2G,3G,4G,5G etc. If that was futuristic thinking I think CC has that covered now.

This does require a video update.

Vas, just a follow on, it could be that AltHan which was talked about sometime back is to be used but considering previous mess ups in UK of new ideas perhaps CC track record may be looked at considering our association with Indian Government.

Also I think SMS may be Stock Market problems at present.

It will be interesting to get an SMETS2 update from JC. Notspots got put to back of the queque for installs. The closure of 2G and 3G surprised me, does that mean Government wants more capability out of meters, IoT etc. It could be that CC RF is the solution, a new HAT that could deal with interconnect between Utilities (big step to close DCC but could be worth it). Seeing how in India CC Omni/FG25 is progressing very well then just possibly Grant Shapps is looking at replacing existing Comms with CC.

I could be very wrong but 1m,HES, etc, these handouts do not often need such a short start date. Was it contained in a tender or just given to CC.

Incidently I was very careful when I wrote that BB paragraph, just read it again, I was asking you as an EDF ardent follower who knows what is going on in Bihar. What I wanted to know is what was happening to that massive order. I seem to remember the Intellismart problem could not be fixed so the 1m unit and HES could have been an ideal replacement. Thanks for the information.

Colour why do you not want to talk about CC being in Bihar. Are you saying the contract did not happen. 1m units was a fair sized order.

Off you go again, you do not need links, EDF at the time won the Bihar contract, CC were called in at 3 months notice, which normally takes ages, are you telling me this did not happen.

Colour I totally agree that viable is a great requirement when entering into 10 year contracts. However Genus have faith in us and providing the up front stability.

The new TOTEX settlement will soon provide the necessary upfront capital so we are back to Utilities now having a no cost situation and looking for quality with early returns. CC has provided the proof as far back as Indore and Mysore. Assam is proceeding nicely.

I do not think EDF etc are manufacturers so they will have to go to Indian meter co's for volume, I wonder who?.

As you appear to know a great deal about EDF/Bihar just why did CC have to go urgently into Bihar with 1m units for a quick fit to help Intellismart. These things, especially 1m, cannot be overlooked because it does not suit.

Colour you spoil yourself in your enthusiasm against JC. Why was CC parachuted into Bihar for !m units with immediate start if EDF had it all under control.

Vas I was interested in Silicon being in two camps but then I thought CC is doing it all of the time. We are in with 2 or 3 bidders in these tenders. What also caught my eye was that the Wirepas partnership was for FG23 but we have moved onto FG25 I believe.

What I am asking is, can CC with its advancements update SMETS2 in insitu by stripping out existing Telefonica HAT modules and replacing with one new CC hat covering both ports, updating to latest programs without removing customer's meter.CC seems to be able to solve most problems but is this too far.

Thanks for that LTI. The point I was making is that the information is out there but the gaps are too big. Information comes out, and now also from CC India, staff is being doubled but no follow up, we have to then speculate. I maintain that PI's hold the middle ground on shares, Funds are locking theirs away.

I know mostly what is going on but newbies will not have the time you are thinking to drill into a small AIM company, they see what they see plus abit more. DYOR

Thanks Colour, you may be my only reader. You are probably correct regarding £17bn, as we know CC then Cyan was not in on SMETS1. It would be interesting if CC could produce an RF node for 4 and 5 upgrades. If that were possible then the work is 95% done. I suppose that is the value of having an external node. DYOR

Hello emptyend, top end or bottom end, LOL. JC did touch upon this in last 6 months or so. It would be interesting if CC could produce a converter to fit the existing top hat. May even replace DCC and have direct connection to Centrica etc,etc. This could produce an immediate reconnection to a new Utility of customers choice, with Ofcom being Ombudsmen. I think JC said if CC had been involved from outset the £17bn costs so far would have been more like £4bn. UK Government does not know cheap. DYOR

Thanks for summary LTI. The problem that I see, amongst others, is the graps between updates is loosing newbies attention to the advances that CC has made. If I am searching a company site BB I would probably go back 3 or 4 months on reviews and if everybody is moaning I would think maybe/maybe not, and go back 6 months later for further thought. Not always clever but there you go. DYOR

Morning LTI/Vas. Having other things on I have been bouncing in and out of BB, each time hoping, I think that is the word, to see impressive progress but knowing the delays.

We now have CCUK and CCIndia feeding out information. Newbies come onto a site and look for money making opportunaties, esp on AIM. If possible could you give a laymans overview of current situation. Our assocations with Adani, who I understood we were in with, and others are very important. I suppose I should be asking JC all this but onlookers I feel need to have a clearer picture especially as we are a small compony. To me CC is a goldmine but competition needs to be watched. The links related to meters. The previous BB related to Gateways, so is Crystal putting in Smart Meters, we know CC is. Is CC supplying the Smart concept to Crystal or are they a stand alone company for Cellular/RF. Thanks. DYOR

Just a question, what is the situation in Assam, I got the impression that Intellismart went into Assam with CC, now we have Crystal, presumably with Intellismart supervising both.

How do Crystal feature, are they just providing Gateways or meters also.

I may have missed it but I do not remember the name Crystal when talking competitors.

Hello LTI, whilst Vas might be a little bit premature I think he is talking in the right direction.

CC has got a good percentage at present and the vast number of tenders that it is inked for must mean it ticks most boxes. Good luck with perusing all that paperwork, not my strong point unless I was doing a 'not my fault Guv' to be used in somewhere like Parliament.

I have no doubt asked this before but didn't the GoI a long time back put in a requirement for RF capsbility on all Smart Meters. Or was that a dream.
