Hi Vas.. In the past everybody has come up to the starting gate and the starter has called it off (SLA last time) so has someone above seen better value in RF, more controllable in a national crisis. Now that probably is getting carried away.

Hi Vas.. That is a good question, if CC are achieving then some others at least must have been published. The upside is that CC have done well from INDORE onwards, so maybe RF's are getting new contract sign offs quicker.

Or could there be more thought being given to RF as main link, after all CC now has its own private secure cellular, so can mix all types when necessary. Now that cost is no longer met upfront perhaps reliability is the greatest priority.

Yes the two key players in quality and social position have CC on board. This is what PM Modi wants a secure push forward. I know I get carried away but I can still see CC securing 50% of the 250m meter market. It is a matter of the Government and Utilities feeling happy after all the past set backs and wanting to come up against China industrially.

Just watched Presentation again, very interesting, I see can why JC is pulling his horns in regarding actions outside of the India electric meters for the present. I do not think that will last as the temptation, like Cities, IoT, multiplatform, will be looming. I can still see a Genus consortium buying a 51% stake in CC, to me it makes sense as they need that line secure. They can let others have access as now but to me with so much at stake in India that Beachhead as JC says is a must.

JC referred to a third type of meter, sounded like Polly, any thoughts.

I know requirements have changed with UK but I was saying a couple of weeks back it would be good if CC could produce a HAT to sit on SMETS2 to save replacing. CGI, are dealing with software, did someone mention them here recently, and it looks like that is what they are going to do with a hub. Vodafone are main contractors so is CC going to be involved. I will have to listen to the Meet video again.

Hello Vas. I agree that is a very strong alliance. Most of Intellismart meters probably come from Genus. A question does anybody know, now that Genus are creating and implanting CC into its Smart Meters, if CC have 100% of Genus Smart Comms, or are other Comms Cos supplying. Posters on hear frequently suggest a takeover which I do not think is in our interest at present. However I have said before that I am surprised that as CC is now the major Smart Comms provider that a consortium, Genus,HP, etc have not bought 50>55% of CC thereby protecting their interests and future guarantees. CC could carry on being agnostic, pleasing GoI and me as with that backing SP would soar. DYOR

I think from the beginning JC expected India to be a long haul, not this long, so these last few months seeming long are quite brief considering the years that have gone by.

To me any newcomers are on to a winner. Even if to only double their investment in coming months then a good return. DYOR.

Good news. I think this is the beginning of these mini rollouts which will mushroom. As JC said the contract with Intellismart will enable a lot of little starts scattered around. As soon as the total speed and efficiency and of course early returns for Utilities become apparent the demand for CC quick installations will grow rapidly. Hopefully the equal monthly payments will be in by then, contract divided by say 24months etc. Going on Vas's calc (hope I am correct) of 1m units plus a month, I could see an income of £12m pm to poss £20m pm.

Providing CC has as good a name in India as I think it has I feel the nail biting days are over.

Trouble is we are in standstill mode. Standing outside the sweetshop that is closed for lunch. So we are kicking our heels, grumbling. Unless there is some dramatic GoI change we know we are going to get a decent % of what's on offer. Enough to keep our heads well above water. On margins, years back JC indicated that modules, which cost pennies at the time, were the big mark-up; HES and Gateways were made individual items and lower profit.

As the process grinds on in India, sit on your hands, nothing else to do.
