We have had this rise and fall in SP so many times before but this time is there a bit of manipulation going on, I would not go as far as saying FIX, but considering current order book this all seems very strange.

Regarding BIHAR, there was never an explanation, or mention of CC, when via Genus we supplied, on the 'hurry up' a million smart meters to BIHAR, its not mentioned in your link. Could it be that the casual piece about Middleware (universal bus) is CC. Also reference to Middleware tucked away at end, indicating it could be used whenever they have a problem.

I am only an amateur but to me the first time round was a right cods up which Middleware sorted and can therefore be used as a Universal Hub when they get headaches.

The original problem got sorted but they were not going to let embarrassment spoil their P.R. glorification after their massive outlay.

CC must have saved the day somewhere to have had such a big, quick order, and JC said we were going to the assistance of Intellismart.

Apart from Global Markets being down generally CC should be holding its own with all the good news in last six months, long in the tooth now but was anticipated by Christmas.

With our order book at 5m units (5 times what it was) I would have expected at least 40p.

Is there some manipulation going on. After dropping about 1/3rd I would have thought there would have been a scooping up at this point. Is someone building a stake, I would not have thought there are enough spares floating around for that. I think we need to know new total of contracts (volume) we are involved with in bidding.

We get this 2 stage contract every time. Lead contract is issued, then we wait, we know it is going to happen. JC puts out something like Framework to try to stabilise situation, but it is still India. Nothing to do with poor management just the environment, should somebody suggest bailing out and a group of amateur SHORTS lock in then you start to slide and if too long passes then it starts to bite. As far as I know circumstances have not changed just taking far too long. DYOR

Well Colour figures can sometimes be misleading. Things were progressing until the GoI imposed the SLA requirement. I seem to remember it was all systems go. Now the tenders are being signed off and time is running out for the key percentage of starts to get grants we should see plenty of action in next few weeks. Only my thoughts DYOR.

Morning LTI. We have discussed in the past why CC goes for RF contracts and not Cellular. Possibly CC's approach is changing. INDORE I think was mainly RF with Cellular probably needed at times. It would appear that most Smart contracts need a mixture and where it is mainly Cellular with RF provided at times then CC could bid for these contracts now having the full package. What I am saying is will CC now go for all contracts as it can do the lot as I understand it. Lets face it others would if they had these facilities and near 100% SLA.

Pleased to see we are discussing CC Cellular. I mentioned it from its outset but I think it was only intended as an add-on to somewhere like INDORE. As CC said, I believe, it could provide the full secure package I did not see why we could not be included in all bids. Possibly at the time money and existing contracts between Utilities and Telcos had to be considered. Now that money is less pressurised (TOTEX), CC can be considered as the all-round Smart Comms.

Could possibly get to my mystical figure of £5. DYOR in the meantime.

I was not meaning to knock your findings, it just that with PI;s, in my opinion, as opposed to Funds, a lot of decisions are initally skimming over BB's etc, A volume of negatives and positives are like flash floods, especially negatives. When there is no news our snippets is all there is to read. Anyway only thoughts, hope alls well with you.

The problem is jake that over all this considerably long holding CC has been reconfiguring itself to meet the latest requirement in India, others have been themselves globally and obviously see India as the Golden Challis numbers wise and now the act is coming together want to pitch in, It now comes down to who has been successful in India already, who has done volume installations. That is why I was asking about criteria.

As we know big Funds have yet to be attracted so who remains, PI's. I used to run through SP Index, select the odd company and read accounts/chart if they caught my eye, simple as that, not all clever. CC SP may not be in that poorer shape as I notice SMS in similar chart position.

Vas knows what I mean, SP is still PI based by the looks of transactions, they could well read and move on. What do you remember about Comms company qualifying criteria.

Mcgoof, it may just be the market but seems strange, original 1m order book equalled 25p+ and now we have a 5m order book. I do not know what JC can use as a filler but it needs something. Just no updates.

Vas, good intentioned but highlighting competition may not have helped, no offence.

Do not think there is much opposition in Comms as I seem to remember GoI set targets for companies on finance and previous installation numbers.

I was pleased when CC got into Assam, with Bihar we were stretched across the northern states. I have almost aged with the product, shutting down my other portfolio, 80 is pushing the little grey cells.
