The issue for me is that the battle being fought in South East Asia is USA vs China influence and I heard yesterday on some TV channel that china is taking advantage of Trump's turmoil to better their position. However bottom line is that China makes the same cheap stuff as Vietnam and therfore has not got much to offer. So I see Vietnam making the right noises and getting down to 10%. Then what ? All retailers like ourselves have to lose a bit of margin , say 3 or 4 % - which will hurt. Still long and strong because the market has priced armageddon in USA imv.

Bought another 3 tranches at prices between 242 and 238 - bargain imv . Great cash flows and lower oil prices plus hopefully a peace dividend shortly.

I hope that Trump has simply started the negotiations he wants will other countries to help his 'america first agenda' and that rates far more moderate get agreed over the course of the next few days/weeks. In any event he won't want the accolade of being the USA version of Liz Truss so things will change. personally I have sold a few shares that have held up to buy those that have fallen the most - in expectation of a bounce.

Once you take the divi into account the loss today is only1 % - not too bad !

Mr Exec, I think other bidders could be waiting for 3 things;

1. Trump liberation day announcements - will it affect them and /or their ability to finance a deal.

2. Finalised accounts - how much value is 'lost' or available.

3. Sidara to open up the bidding with a figure - is it worth having a pop for a greater sum?

So we are in a waiting game - point 1 clarity by tomorrow - I hope!

I think sidara could'nt realistically hope that investors would agree any bid figure until the deloitte work had finished AND the accounts re stated. Why would an institution give away value for the sake of waiting a few weeks? they would'nt - so unfortunately so do we.

Landowner is entitled to a view and to express it here. I disagree with him/her and time will tell. Personally, I think a worse case scenario is a capital raise at 10p per share on no bid. best case scenario - another bidder turns up and the price rises to just over £1.

My prediction is that the Trump tarriffs could [ perhaps 30% chance] result in negotiations which actually lower tarriffs around the world , as countries respond to the level playing field requested by Trump. We could then enter an era of good growth. A more likely scenario is when end up more or less where we are today so not too bad come summer.

I think that GS have an arms length trading business that will not be party to the Sidara info therefore people should not be surprised to see trading activity and work on behalf of Sidara - it all depends which part of GS is buying/selling.

The big difference between PFC and Wood is corruption . When I worked at Amec Foster wheeler they turned away work from certain countries [ and you can guess which] because of ethical considerations whereas PFC managed to get themselves into all sorts of trouble. The second difference is client spread , Amec foster wheeler worked in environmental services , in the water sector for the defence dept of USA , in chernobyl etc etc not just oil and gas. Obviously since then some businesses have been sold but major projects in oil and gas , the troubled division is just that one division.

If/when the acounts are finally published I could see others , e.g Worley parsons or jacobs entering the fray. Recruiting 30 000 staff alone could cost the current mcap !

James- it is the Projects not Power division that is the culpritt here.

Simple answer - investors are not [yet] convinced current growth plans will work. Next set of results key . Even in a zero growth situation the sp is too low imv.

Here's a thing , after I left amec foster wheeler, I heard that an accountant in the division I was in had 'left' when he had done much the same as the maor projects division have been accused of just now and under pressure from 'centre'. The point is that submission of 'dodgy' figures is not new and will be pre dating current ceo . However I do think he is completely out of his depth in this company.

Better than consensus - so sp up a few pence imv.

Bought some more for a fraction under 26p - very pleased with the price but more worried about my whole holding here !
