Bazza, the rationale for buying retailers in the states was outlined a few years back as establishing a global foot print at the behest of the sneaker maunfacturers who wanted global retailers to make their life easier. Therefore the acquisitions have met that objective and soon will be earnings enhancing imv.

@Multiplier - good post. Even if the gold price fell back to pre christmas levels the cash in the bank is already worth a few p per share , meaning the sp should not fall back as far.

Just topped up with another £2k . With gold at this price the cash being generated is huge - from the price action you would think we were losing money!

On IG TV [on you tube if you want to catch up] around 905 am their Technical analyst said we are now in an uptrend and if we can close above 91p [ I think] then next stop something like 102. I am not thinking of selling below about 150 .but pleased to hear what TA people think.

Ricardo, I use 5 brokers - the most expensive is Redmayne Bentley - outrageous 1.65% commission and cheapest is IG zero % commission and obviously IG make their money on the spread.However from my point of view I can't see any difference in the price quoted by IG , so other brokers like Barclays, HL and ii that I also use are creaming off extra profit.

Meanwhile , as I see things , more importantly the SP will rise as the aussies start buying en masse and through their pension funds etc.

@Howard, I watch IG TV on you tube each morning from 0730 to 10 am [ thoroughly recommend it btw] and there have about a dozen presenters/guests who are professional investors/client managers/technical analysts and frankly I have asked about 6 of them about ggp and not one had any experience of trading the shares and/or knowledge of the company. They are all focussed on the bigger more liquid companies like big tech in america or household names like easyjet. So imv we are under the radar flying at about 50 feet.

He did well sp up 20% in 6 weeks since.

International Airlines Group (IAG) is ordering 53 new Airbus and Boeing aircraft for its long-haul fleet, comprising 32 Boeing 787-10 aircraft for British Airways and 21 Airbus A330-900neo aircraft.

The Airbus A330-900neo aircraft will be powered by Rolls-Royce engines. British Airways' Boeing 787-10 aircraft will be powered by General Electric engines.

Good news but could we have got the 787 order also?

And let's not forget that when Trump orders spare parts for the RR engines on his private jet they will not attract a 25% tariff!

Whoever sold those engines originally should be awarded a large bonus imv!

I wish someone would announce a contract on Starmer!

Given we are still well above $3000 , the sp drop looks overdone - cash flows will be great and the cash pile will be growing even faster this quarter.
