I am watching the web cast presentation - very impressive - honest about successes and failures but over riding positive is huge cash generation and £100m buy back - thinkwe will get upgrades from the analysts after this.

I think the holder sold what they could for a margin call elsewhere.

Of more importance Gold well up and an expert on IG TV this morning [ you tube] said the rising 10 yr bond yield indicates china is selling and gold will rise significantly as the fed does some qe - crisis management in USA now. - Hope he is right I have bought more here today.

But we now have everyone feeling much poorer because their investments are down 15% and some are worried about their jobs. So unfortunately until the company releases something positive AND the Tariffs get resolved/reduced we have a problem Houston.

I have been selling those least hit and buying those unfairly hit, e.g RR, IAG and PHNX. That is working out. Trump will tweet something and recovery will start.

I bought another £4k at 5.79 - pleased with that - small comfort mind you!

Just bought another £2.5k - bargain imv. All will be good soon - Trump will calm the markets imv , after he has had his shreddies.

Stanley, I wish that was true- frankly lots of people will see their pension pots down and not book flights because they feel poorer and in many cases are poorer. i do thidrop in airlines ; e.g EZJ and Iag plus RR. is over done I have been buying this am.

Part of Trumps plan is a weaker dollar and stock market chaos means people sell shares and buy bonds which means lower interest rates , which means cheaper debt refinancing and a weaker dollar. Bingo for Trump, provided of course he can conatin inflation through lower oil prices compensating for Tarriffs !

I think we are caught between Trump trying to push the dollar lower and interest rates lower through a stock market sell off and a weaker dollar, and pulling in the other direction instability pushing gold higher. In any event when we get the next news from SD we will likely rise so now is the time to hold/buy imv.

I would be surprised if we fell below 640p. What i am hoping for is that Labour announce the SMR contracts the week before the local elections or maybe two weeks before and that gives us a lift.

The Projects business will have suffered from a project manager or several declaring their progress is higher and their costs lower than is correct . A likely scenario is that they want to send a figure to centre that shows the margins are on track because it can be career limiting and bonus limiting to do otherwise. The issue is the extent to which the cost /value gap affects profits when they are restated. What Sidara , investors and others really want to know is that looking forward margins and cash flows will be good.

The issue for me is that the battle being fought in South East Asia is USA vs China influence and I heard yesterday on some TV channel that china is taking advantage of Trump's turmoil to better their position. However bottom line is that China makes the same cheap stuff as Vietnam and therfore has not got much to offer. So I see Vietnam making the right noises and getting down to 10%. Then what ? All retailers like ourselves have to lose a bit of margin , say 3 or 4 % - which will hurt. Still long and strong because the market has priced armageddon in USA imv.
