Dug, well done for your emails to the key people here. FYI, I have not even had an acknowledgement from investor relations email that I wrote on Thursday. By way of contrast , Asos acknowledge by return and frankly that costs nothing!. As I mentioned before, If i get no reply shortly , I will go to the head office and ask why, politely.

What do Pips have to do with Aviva? Bit tenuous but they make up part of the out of control government spending that is being financed by the private sector through corporation tax etc. For over 10 years government debt has risen by over £380m per day! That is £5 per person ffs. When is it going to stop? When the markets refuse to finance the debt and interest rates rise to unsustainable levels - probably year 2 to starmers premiership is my guess.

Undersold, I wish I had not mentioned Nigel farage now because his politics seem to upset folk on here- my serious point was that these tests will be sold to men predominantly over55 but only if they have heard of them and ask for them. If a gp said to me , we have a test that is 94% accurate but it has only been tested on 100 or so people of your demographic or one that is 55% accurate I would go for the former and my guess is many gp's would go along with the patients request. So if just 1% of Mr Farage's followers bought the test the company's prospects would be transformed. Sending two senior managers to the same conferenc in silicon valley is less likely to achieve that but I hope I am wrong.

Dav1, three comments;

a) gas boilers generally work at much higher temperatures than heat pumps and on their site Octopus say their quotes include for any necessary radiator upgrades.

b) Last winter I looked at a property with a newly installed heat pump - radiators everywhere - cold inside and a sheet of ice under the heat pump

c) the gas network transmits 4 times the energy of the electricity network and the UK cannot afford to duplicate the entire electricity system to utilise heat pumps in moderate numbers , let alone electric car charging , and even if it could there is not the manpower available to do so. We need that network and that will all become clear in the next couple of years.

5085, I don't think the fund raise you outline is going to happen at that sort of price. The Bod and in particular Diggle have too much invested here to allow that sort of dilution. They are not stupid[ Burrows excepted] and can see how the challenges can be overcome and imv they will be sorting things out as we speak. Needs a few days but I am optimistic. All we need to do is flog a great test in reaonable volumes and once the punters are aware [ the easily fixed challenge]that will happen imv.

Just bought another £3k at 16.9p in the expectation that a focus on sales will drive some improvement in share price and Burrows will leave.

I need to correct an earlier post , Diggle has actually lost over £5m in value in the last week and he likely has the power to remove the CEO! The great shame here is that the test will sell itself imv, with the correct publicity and the failure to create the demand is the problem.

Meanwhile, it will soon be time for another top up because some good news will break soon imv.

Ref the oncologists not recommending a test that has limited data, isn't there an arguement to the oncologists opening themselves up to litigation if they do not use a more accurate test? I realise there is a defence in 'tried and tested' but ignoring the best option is not without potential criticism.

Dibs, I agree entirely. They should have someone running their social media in a more high profile way. It is possible to find OBD on facebook if you search the company's name. And if you scroll down a couple of pages you can find prostate cancer in the text but frankly the home page says ' we are clever folk now f off and don't bother us'. I tried searching 'prostate cancer tests /companies ' and I could not find obd in the first 100 entries - I did find an organisation for dogs with prostate cancer so maybe that will be the next thing that Burrows talks about. The company needs to be linking into these various groups and raising the profile of the tests, which it could do at low costs - certainly less than sending 2 senior directors to the same conference in silicon valley.

Dug, I have looked at the OBD twitter account [only a paltrey 347 followers] and it strikes me that the company is entirely focussed on the serious science and is overlooking mass marketing of the PSE test. If it wants to stimulate demand from consumers it has to launch some serious media campaign and if it wants demand from clinicians it has to do whatever it takes to get 'approval' from nice in UK. At the moment neither is happening and worse still there seems to be no plan beyond hoping people will seek us out because we are bright scientists doing all sorts of interesting work on numerous fronts.

Great post Dug and with all those people on board just who do we think has been chargedb with progressing the UK trial? My guess , nobody or Burrows would have been better briefed and dropped the name in the webinar. I think, once Investor Relations reply to my email I might follow up with an enquiry. Of course, if I get no reply I might pop down to the offices and ask - they are next door to the Oxfam palace.

404x, How would nigel farage's promotion of the PSE test work? Well he has 1.8m followers on X and over a quarter of a million on instagram plus he has a program on GB news. My assumption is that a large proportion of these are men over 50 many of whom will have prostate symptoms and want /need a test. If just a few percent of those went for a PSE test it would transform our prospects. { BTW he has already been treated for testicular cancer } .

FF, I looked up the blue whale fund but saw no reference to shorting - just large holdings of sound companies. I have a city index account that lets me short when the market is open. Unfortunately not much dry powder in there as I have long positions on FTSE 100, germany 40 and french 40 , all of which took a bit of pain last week. Good luck with the shoot - make sure you hit only pheasants and not whales.

How interesting. Here's a thing , having been left that money is a wonderful thing for you but it must at times feel like a bit of a burden in that you must feel obligated to make good decisions and not waste it. That is a nice problem to have though. Wrt the account , presumably being luxemborg based it has zero stamp duty , which means you only have the 'spreads' eating into your profits? How many percent typically are they? Do you close down your trades each day or effectively run them? [ If I trade my losing trades become investments lol].
