All is not lost - we have Diggle who will no doubt be pushing the ceo to do all the right things, including leave if he does not do the other things first. So I am optimistic.

About 30% of UK is about to get close to double figure rise in their income [ min wage, state pensions, indexed private pensions, consultants and inevitably doctors] around April - no chance of a rate cut before Sept imv because inflation will stay around 4%. Oh and then there is the pre election pump - make that December!

Here's the thing - to be rated as a global brand on higher multiples it has to trade as JD globally and this aquisition is another step on that journey , so imv worth at least tuppence on the sp.

Boyobach, I agree and the margins at JD are around 48% as I recall. Frankly imv if JDis fairly valued at around 108p then I cannot see how ocdo is worth anything above £1, considering mcap, turnover profitability and growth. Hopefully OCDO will stay where it is and jd will rise to around £5. Some huge correction needed imv.

Box, good luck with aviva - I feel their recovery is almost complete and i cannot see the growth in their markets which are hugely compoetitive. I won a few of those so still hope they do well. Keep an eye out here because I can see these doubling within a year - we shall see.

With drop this am but have bougth another £2.7k in the belief that this company has so much potential as some stage I will be well rewarded.[ Sold my beloved MSI to do so.]

The real issue here is the route to profitabilty and comparisons with other retailers. Comparison with JD Sports makes one of them look way out of kilter. JD will make £925m profit in 2023 and it is cash rich and growing internationally to become a world leader but its mcap is similar to ocdo suggesting one company or the other has a sp incorrect by a significant factor.

I think that certain holders will sell just because they only invest in LSE traded shares and not want currency risk/hedging. However once that selling is done the eu listing will attract a higher rating and shareholders will witness a rise

Inflation will stay high until autumn imv. Why - well the government are responsible for around 30% of UK getting almost double figures - minimum wage, doctors, consultants, state pensioners, private sector pensioners linked to rpi. The private sector will play catch up but I am expecting core cpi of almost 4% at year end. We shall see.

Box, I would leap in now . I have held these shares since flotation and believe me they have been spectacular. Just now they are 50% down from their peak and that is unwarranted. I have bought over £3k today and come March expect a 30% gain on that but dyor. Including visiting some stores this weekend where you will see a busier shop floor than most retailers.

I think the code is operative from 1 jan and that may explain the lower than hoped for adoption. This will snowball.

No one buys a medical test as a christmas present but the slow take up of PSE is baffling me - i thought word of mouth amongst clinicians would drive this - I guess the threat of litigation - [why change routines] is making progress in USA hard.

Walkey the cash is nearly equal to the mcap - so the company has a tiny value according to the market - sp will correct once that is digested.
