I actually think Cas5 results are more important than the placing (which has to be finalized in December I guess). In generel I'd rather postpone dilution and drilling, that's been my POV all the years. If they have good pay indications, they should just inform the market about the results and keep their calm (rule of thumb in O&G and biotech is to take the money when you can; at this SP it's a "can't" so IMHO it's better to bootstrap a bit; take a salary cut (PB!) and remove a couple of BOD members whilre they're at it.

Probably a great time to acquire new assets. PetroTal is possibly the only company that will be able to pull this of. Can't see anyone else doing it and it's going to be a hard and bumpy journey to succeed. ONP has to be the buyers responsibility though; having oil stored for years in a the pipeline is just a big no go.

You might as well go full FOMO re. the millstone - if you're to counter all the lies and sidetracks and usual negative whataboutism' trips. Facts doesn't help. I'm pretty sure a lot of "institutional investors" look more at market cap than they do at the share price measured in yen, dollar or whatever.

And I'm also very sure that it's truly what prevents them from buying PTAL (and the country risk and semi-uninvestable sector ofc).

Market cap will not increase (happy to be proven wrong) - doing the hard work and buying back shares increase shareholder value, reverse splits are a waste of time, costs and focus. Therefore, reverse splits are first of all a sign of weakness.

I've been arguing for share buybacks for years and they could have bought back 35% over the last 4 years meaning each share would be worth 50% more (and receive 50% more dividend forever). They could even have bought back the investor shares when they vested some years back - financial side of PTAL has always been below par (operationally stellar).

Sadly the main shareholder wants dividends and retail shareholders have to live with that. The poor allocation is also why dividend from #PTAL isn't going back to the share for me.

Not really Devilbhoy, Millstone got 99,99% negative posts. If you look back many of my posts are critical, many neutral. I'm not selling FOMO like the Millstone spread lies and sends people on wild goose chases based on his biased fantasies.

Well it can't be Trin. Since TXP wanted to pay silver for something worth coppers (bad deal IMHO for many reasons and my POV on that is quite clear). Fortunately someone came along and tossed goldcoins after Trin. Their loss. So Trin didn't fell through bco the lack of funding that's implied, but because we got saved by someone with a bigger purse and more fantasies about "synergi" (of which there were none).

CB - on the other hand - is final and that's actually something rare when it comes to acquisitions: True great synergi from increased pricing, new markets and better product range. Not just some hypothetical savings that will hardly materialise.

CB is great - but ofc. drilling Cas 5 succesfully is very important. Look forward to update on that front.

I don't get people who're obsessed with e.g. II that can make 10% from flipping placing shares. As a long term holder I don't get that kind of focus. I'm e.g. up >1.000% on Valeura; I wonder if traders would have hold on to much more than the first 20%.

Would be fun if they hit something big and overpressured the next couple of days. That would be an interesting dilemma: Hook up ASAP and cancel the remaining placement? It's not like they need all the money; it might speed up things a little but IMHO the placement was too big to begin with (which I've said before) so I hope we spare the last bit of the latest dilution and just move slover (or just as fast, if Cas 5 is above average).

Aligator, why don't you just stay under your rock and moan there for a while? When there's news (plenty good news on discord from the visit by 2 shareholders btw) from the company by RNS etc. you can come back and either moan or clap your claws.
