To give some idea of the long term flip flop approach by Aligator (who's btw a rational and fact-driven huge holder of TXP), this is nice for context and it's easy to be sympathetic:
""I have steadily built my holding in TXP into the high 6 figures, with an average price of just under 60p. Thus, at 173p ( I am still buying) and heading towards who knows where, I am now realising that, for me, this company is fast becoming life changing and will massively enhance my retirement (13 years ago). What will add cream to this cake is the fact that I have substantial capital gains losses which will absorb a very large portion of the tax liability when I sell. That said, if I have to pay CGT on the balance, I am not exactly going to complain. Why write this? Simply because I get the impression that most, if not all other posters here, are in the same position re their TXP holdings and to say good luck to all investors, including those just discovering TXP. This truly is a once in a lifetime share and I am delighted that it appears that private investors, rather than II's will make serious gains here""
Let's hope we're back above 60p soon. That should help sentiment flip flop.
