It will allow the Court of Appeal to rule on the executive committee point which is what I suspect DEARA wants. It would be interesting to know if they asked for a stay of the Judge's order,

Citizenlane ref 10.09 post thanks for this the issue is the hike in the visa fees. As the article points out the fees are going up by around 10%. Also there is the issue that the length of the visa may not match the length HARL needs leading to the need for replacement. I am not sure if posting them to work for Navantia UK would be a possible work around.

This kind of increase might have the effect of making knowledge transfers like with Navantia harder as the cost of the necessay visas prohibitive.

Si_Derman ref 22.34 post Thanks for the link I found this part interesting 'Based on a 5% base rate, average repayments (capital and interest)will be £2.95m per year with higher interest payments at the start of the loan reducing each year as the loan progresses.' The current base rate is 5.25% so even before the loan starts their calculations are off. Also they state that they only make £3m pa in revenue so the loan repayments are only just about achievable at 5%. So they will be putting fares up a fair bit to cover running costs as all the existing revenue will be used to pay off the loan.

Team UK was [promising to create 6000 new jobs compared to Team Resolute's 1900. I believe those were the figures. Having checked the Court Rules available from here https://www.justice-ni.gov.uk/sites/default/files/publications/justice/the-rules-of-the-court-of-judicature-northern-ireland-1980-february-2021.pdf. I was wrong in assuming that the Northern Ireland would follow time limits in England and Wales. If you read Order 3 and Order 59 you get that the time to give notice six weeks did not start to run until vacation finished. By my calculation that means the notice period ends definitely on Tuesday. I cannot recall whether Vacation ended on the 4th or 5th. I know Chrsatrdg did post the information
