LSE03 ref 11.59 post I note that the investment only secures 5000 jobs out of the 8000 jobs currently used at Port Talbot. So I expect that the unions will not be too happy. I wonder whether the new investment will allow them to provide steel of the right quality for HARL to use.

Did anyone notice that although these are supposed to be privately owned and funded one of there functions is to help deter migrant crossings. I thought immigtation including unlawful migration was a government function. If I did not jnow better I would think that HMG are trying skirt around the procurement rules which would not apply to a private venture by borrowing one of the ships should the need arise.

Twib ref 07.28 post I disagree that IM must be sold. I am very firmly in the keep an interest in IM camp. The reason for this is that while in the short term there is the gain from debt reduction. However the loss in the long term of a forty year income stream is in my view greater and once lost cannot be recovered.

As noted previously LISW is not the only event that HARL will be at. HARL seems to be throwing a lot of resourses at LISW though with sponsoring of the Patliamentary cruise as an example. Hopefully we will not have to wait to see the benefit of this investment.

I am intrigued that the Investor Meet Presentation is on a week from Monday. If the presentation was just going to be on the H1 results I wuld expect it to be today or Monday. This raises the question will they be announcing something else?

There is a new Cenkos report out I am reading it now they are maintaing a buy recommenation.

Further to my 07.08 post having done a first read through of the RNS I note what is said about the Ferry market but I will wait to see concrete evidence of this as I have seen similar comments before. I also noted that significant revenue increases is expected in most sectors next year. I note that two new offices have been opened the locations cannot be faulted but I am still waiting to see any ROI from the office in Miami from what is said in the RNS that may come next year.

The value of contracted revenues for next year is impressive.
