Another 10 barge contract from Cory bringing it up to 33 barges ordered. I see we have confirmation that 8 barges have been delivered and that the contract deliver date on the three contracts is H1 2025. Cory certainly seem a satisfied customer as they are coming baxk.

Si_Derman ref 14.57 post Personally I am not surprised that Arnish does not have many FSS related obs. The GM at Arnish has always seemed keen on generating his own business while Methil seems to be geared towards providing extra capacity for the other yards. Also wth the Deep Water Terminal Arnish seems more suitable for renewables work.

From comments on the thread the other issue was at least in relation to the possibility of a purchase by HARL in 2021 was that the owners did not want to sell. There was also no support fromm the local authority. This would seem to explain the compulsory purchase order route that is being suggested.

Bubble2021 ref 13.06 post as I undertand from the LinkedIn post is that they want the National Shipbuilding Office to do a Compulsory Purchase then give it to an interested shipyard. Leaving aside then question of if the NSO has the power to do a CPO if a shipyard was interested in the Pallion why do they not just buy it themselves. In note the existing owners do not think that a shipyard is a viable option. Sorry but I do not think this makes business sense on the currently known information.

Bubble2021 ref 12.54 post I see no indication at present that any expansion would require increased shipyard capacity. Also w do not know why Appledore was chosen over Pallion. Also have those issues been resolved.

Bubble2021 ref 12.42 post that would depend on your definition of a good option. Apparantly JW did look at it in 2021 but went with Appledore. Apart from the cost of purchasing it there is the cost of modernising Pallion. So unless HMG wants to provide a guarantee of work thenn in my view which has not changed since I first heard about Pallion shipyard best left well alone. You need to ask why nobody else seems interested either.

I note reading some of the replies that JW looked at it in 2021 but went with Appledore instead. This has been suggested before but nothing has apparantly come of it. I think then isue is the cost of modernising it.

We know about FSS so what are the others?

You are right in answer to a direct question from at the last investor event which was on the investor meet platform JW said that they were going to only be doing six monthly trading updates. I do not believe that AIM requires quarterly updates my recollection is that may only be for certain companies on the FTSE.

Roly12 ref 13.59 post Yesterday we had the issue where the UT was higher than the SP. So the share price today reflected the difference between the share price at 16.30 and the UT.

Do we have anything from a reliable source to indicate that the finance deal has been signed. The lack of an RNS this morning does not support a finance deal being signed. But we had that circa 10% rise in the share price yesterday which indicates that someone might have heard something about something.

Xsnor ref 16.21 post I get nervous when things do not make sense. I cannot see a surge in the share price today so I am nervous. Maybe we will get an answer tomorrow.

For the share price to go up 7% on no news makes me nervous. Am I being kept in the dark on the gossip?

I note that the list of significant shareholders does not appear to have been updated since around the time that the Manufacture Sub Contract for FSS was awarded. Any bets on when the next update will be? I going for January 2024.
