LSE03 ref 09.07 post another interesting point is that the skybus fares have gone down which seems strange if the pilots have been informed that they are at risk of redundancy. It would not surprise me if there are either cuts to the skybus services or the prices need to be increased.

I see that Cory barge 7 is due to leave from SRQ at noon tomorrow but at present I cannot see a tug showing as leaving with it. Is HARL trying to save money by having the tug arrive the same day as the barge is due to depart.

I found this part of the PIN of particular interest 'Market engagement event 1 will be followed up with further market engagement events focusing on one-to-one discussions between the Authority and industry participants.' It then states 'The Authority is looking to engage with suppliers that have the capability to design and build significant elements of the floating docks and associated infrastructure to participate in the market engagement stage of the AFTDC Programme.' HARL does have experience of building a flaoting dock for the RNLI.

One thing that intrigued me is that the floating dock is for HMRNB Clyde which if I am not mistaken is supported by either BAB or BAe so it is interesting that they have not been asked to do it. The procurement looks like it will be another long drawn out exercise.

I just googled the new customer their website is interesting http://www.chouest.com/. It looks like HARL may be able to get some very interesting sub contract work if they do a good job on this one. Of course this is not the first contract from this region by my count it is the third. I wonder if the recent American delegation had anything to do with this contract.

The contract value of the contract is not great but it marks the first Non UK contract win. Hopefully the first of many and it signals that HARL may grow into an international company. This is a good start and we remem ber that the first contract after JW acquired Belfast was for not much more than this. I wonder if we will see the same revenue trajectory.

LSE03 ref 17.21 post judgimg by the number of times energy security is mentioned I do not expect much to be done on it. I wonder if gas storage gets a mention.

We have the State Opening of Parliament tomorrow so what is everyone. I expect we will have the normal 2 hours of lead up to the event then a five minute speech. I will try and do my usual count of bills and get it wrong. I will be looking to see what is said about the economy and the environment. This is likely to be the last State Opening before the election so we will have some bills designed to persuade voters.

With this contract award the total value of the three contracts is £26,600,000 this gives an average unit cost of £806,000 approx. Which means the total contract value exceeds the current MCap. This supports the argument that the MCap is not the best way to value HARL. I know everyone has already worked that out.

Broomtree ref 11.51 post on yur point about the tug in then 9 October RNS it says iner alia ' To this end, and as a matter of priority, a tug has been identified to acquire. This tug will have a bollard pull of around seventy-five tonnes and will be utilised internally by the Company in addition to being operated on the spot market when internal demand is low. The spot market for tug hire is highly lucrative, given that demand for tugs far exceeds their supply. The Company expects this tug to be in operation by the end of 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, this tug is in addition to the two green tugs that were announced earlier this year.'

So it looks like HARL will eventually have three tugs at its disposal with one being in place by the end of the year. Based on what I can see at present from traffic at Belfast I am not sure if there is the work for three tugs so it may be HARL will be leasing at least one tug on the spot market at a time so as it can recoup the cost of the tugs.

Ref 07.53 post last sentence should read that HARL appears to be quicker than A&P who I believe wanted seven years to do about the same number. (see this article)

Having gone back over prior RNSs I have noticed that the unit cost has gone up from £8.5m for the initial 11 barges to £8.5m for ten bsrges today. Also from cut of first steel to delivery of the 8th barges is about 8 months. So the current rate is about one barge a month.

The other thing to note is that HARL appears to be quicker
