JohnHenry ref 11.33 post While it is possible that the FSS contract will go to Team UK as I see it there are issues around the ability of Team UK to deliver on time. The principle issue is the availability of a drydock. Currently the only drydock that they can use is the No1 drydock at Rosyth. Unfortunately this is currently unavailable as HMS Prince of Wales is docked there. Then next year HMS Queen Elizabeth will be going into drydock there under a contract that BAB has with the MoD. Team Resolute has two No1 drydocks available so may be in a better position to deliver on time.

The only contracts we have had are for docking of the Queen Elizabeth Class of Carriers where the contract went not too surprisingly to BAB. Also the M55 Contract for the Lithuanian Navy which HARL did win. Outstanding is the FSS contract I have that as a toss up between Team UK and Team Resolute. HARL is a member of Team Resolute. There is a suggestion that if Team UK gets it then HARL will get some sub contract work.

It looks like the tender for the National Flagship after a respectful pause will be quietly dropped.

LSE03 ref 12.37 post The SNP thinks that the UK government will still give them defence contracts if they become independent. I have more chance of being the net Prime Minister so that is around a £2bn loss to the Scottish economy. That does not include the job losses.

Chrisatrdg Have you seen today's LinkedIn post from JW. I was reading it on my smartphone and do not want to try and copying over. Apparently the transferring over of the parts from the Athelstone will take to the end of year before they start on the refit. I must presume that they have a signed contract for the refit. I wonder when they will share the info.

mcadder ref 18.28 post I agree with you about the FSS tender. I know that HARL is supposed to be in the running for sub contract work if Team UK wins the tender. I will believe that when I see it. The issue with the Team Resolute bid is how the contract revenues will be split between the partners.

Bubble2021 ref 17.32 post I think part of the problem is that JW seems on occasion to over promise and under deliver this has resulted in a lack of market confidence in the board. My short term outlook on HARL is not as negative as Iamsailing, BlairPeach and TheNorthEnd. This because I do not only look at the SP. One indicator I have is whether either the 10% shareholder starts divesting his holding or Killick reduced its holding below 10%.

I note that after the AGM reports were that we would see four contracts in October. There are 11 trading days left in October and to date we have not seen any contract news. It is this lack of contract news to indicate a regular cash inflow that is partly driving the downward pressure on the SP.

Off thread topic. At 9.30 on Tuesday there will be a Westminster Hall Debate on • 09.30 - Delivery of floating offshore wind projects Stephen Crabb (Conservative, Preseli Pembrokeshire). It will be interesting to see what the Minister winding up the debate says.

Chrisatrdg ref 15.31 post a cross check on the Belfast Harbour site shows that the Lady Ellen is berthed at OQ which I believe is the commission quay. It is showing as being there for two days. There is currently no indication that it is due to shift to another berth. I note that on checking the traffic history it had shifted around from a berth with the code QQ. I am not sure where that is.

Also I have just noticed that the Stenna Edda is due to shift from Blough to BDD on the 20 October departing on the 25 October.
